We fixed a similar issue in 1.61 which was just released. After you get the patch, can you let us know if it happens again?

Saladman, We are always looking to make improvements to the pathing. Two things -- first the paths are similar in length. That is, if you count the tiles in screens above, the direct path tiles vs. the one where it seems to swing wide are the same. The reason that it choose on path vs. the other has more to do with what obstacles the ship thinks may be blocking the destination. That's not to say there aren't bugs in the
