I made this very request months ago - but no one listened :(

I'm going to buy this expansion with the hope that it will help fund the improvements to invasions , starbases fix, and even better AI. I'm hoping the political side of things will develop over time, too. Heroes I don't care about at all.
Will the 1.6 patch fix/expand on planetary invasions?
Sure these have been said before but I'd like to see: - filterable list of discovered but non-colonised planets (as in GCII) - on the colony management screen an indication of whether that colony already has a shipyard - this would save a lot of clicking back and forth Thanks!
Note the Drengin civ strength in the stats and graphs in the pics below. How can it do this and be so much stronger than all other civs? With almost exponential growth. I am playing on "Normal" for all AIs. Are the Drengin cheating in some way? Since the pics were taken they are now well over 600 civ strength, whereas all other civs are below 150. Thanks. <img src="http://picturehost.eu/uploads/ad32ea52aeaa71f32658654822cd22d2_AI%20exponential%20growth.png" alt
The 1.11 AI is beating my ass as it is :) But I hope for other kinds of AI improvements in the future, such as coordinated invasion campaigns and not doing 2-turn declare war and then sue for peace cycles...
Thanks a lot Franco for your thoughts, that's useful :)
Thanks :)
Many thanks, Petri, Empress and Gauntlet. @Empress: so if that's what Guard does, how is it different from Sentry? I would have expected Sentry to do some kind of patrol movement, but the problem with that is, that the game does not ask you where/what area you would like to patrol... Thanks!
Can't see anything about these in the Manual, so thought I'd ask. It should be obvious what they do - Guard has a ship watch over a particular hex or area, and Sentry should patrol an area and attempt to intercept enemy ships passing close by. Yet I have yet to actually see them do anything. I only use them at present as commands in order not to be asked every darned turn whether I want to move my idle ships... Are they good for anything? Thanks a
- I never build my own ship designs - I never watch battles - I spend the entire game zoomed out to the max (icons) Am I missing a lot here and anything that might improve the quality of my play (I currently get owned by the AI on Gifted). Thanks! Ed
Thanks Naselus and Andros for your replies - some helpful and good thoughts there. I never watch battles so how can I know what weapons my opponent is using?
Hi fellow GC3 lovers, Just wondering about the following: - Is there any point to weapons specialisation? Isn't it better to build ships that have a good mix of all the weapons and defences? - Related to the above: if you do specialise in weapons and find the AI is using techs that beat your ships, it would take many many turns to research the techs you need and then pump out the new designs. By which time the AI has beat you back. Another reason not to specialise?
Thanks very much guys, that was useful.
I'm more than occupied enough with the vanilla incarnation. There's plenty to do and learn there. I see no need to mod anything yet. I will say though I have yet to suffer a massive-scale AI invasion, depite it declaring war on me all the time...
Hi Guys, Just some things I'm wondering about this game: - Does building more factories on planets that have shipyards build your ships faster? Or is it better simply to up your empire-wide manufacturing level? - I guess what I'm asking is: what is the point of factories and do you need more than one per planet? - How can factions that are out of range discover you? And why do they dec
Many thanks - I have tried the scenario now. It's good - but I'm a bit disappointed it doesn't have the nearest stars to us as neighbours - where are Alpha Centauri and Barnard's Star, for example? They should be close to Earth.
Hi StarDock, Just want to report the following: - "Milky Way" map is apparently missing from the DLC Map Pack - 1.1.12.0: planet list icon issue, planet that has orbital ship defence shows a yellow icon instead of a green one Cheers!
Many thanks, guys. I will try out your advice and come back in the unlikely event I have any problems.
The part where you have to liberate Earth from the Drengin hordes. Playing on Normal difficulty. The Drengin is rated about 800 civ points higher than me and has at least one fleet of over 4000 hit points. No way I can beat it, I don't think, with the resources I started the scenario with. I have colonized two planets and taken one Drengin colony. Any tips on how to quickly and easily win this one? At the moment it looks like I am resigned to knocking out l
Yes, it doesn't explain all that much concerning the mechanics and numbers, but it's something :)
"...typo's..." Irony? :Þ
Yeah, I hope so too. I am confident most of the issues these folks are talking about will get fixed and probably soon, too.
Are you the Arumba who did the Crusader Kings II vids on YouTube? If so, respect.
