A few questions

Hi Guys,

Just some things I'm wondering about this game:

 

-          Does building more factories on planets that have shipyards build your ships faster? Or is it better simply to up your empire-wide manufacturing level?

- I guess what I'm asking is: what is the point of factories and do you need more than one per planet?

- How can factions that are out of range discover you? And why do they declare war on you even though you’re out of range?

1) yes.

2) factories make individual planets produce more manufacturing output, which emans more buildings and ships in less time.

3) factions that are out of range generaly discover you from wormholes. They declare war even when they're out of range because they are idiots.

Most players specialize planets but you usually need a few factories on Research and Financial planets to build the improvements faster. On a manufacturing planet it is normal to see at least 6-7 factories arranged in an adjacency ring.
