Forgive me if this feature exists, but I haven't noticed it yet. I think if you tooltip/click on an alien ship/fleet it should tell you somewhere your diplomatic status with that civ. It could just say "at war" or "at peace" or the background could be red for war, white/yellow for neutral and green for allied. This would be very useful to know when you have dozens of civs in your game and you don't want to keep checking
From the sound of things, diplomacy is still broken, and after playing crusader kings that's a big deal to me.
I also play CK2. But from what I recall, diplomacy is extremely simple. It is not a great deal more than declare war and demand surrender...
I have yet to see anyone else in the MP room that you enter from within game...
I know these 4 things are necessary for gameplay but I still find them amusing: 1) A single colony ship can transport 3 BILLION population - how does it do that? Frozen sperm and egg cells? 2) If you could travel to the stars you would have already colonized your solar system (Mars) 3) You have not yet developed space weapons, yet your survey ship has them at the beginning of the game? 4) Minor races send constructors and survey vessels to other
Not managed to ally with any other civ yet. Is it possible to fight allied battles? (Like in the Total War series). Your fleets could combine with those of your ally on the same hex and fight against the common enemy? Would be awesome, if possible.
Please, recolor them. The white looks terrible.
Yes, and it makes playing as the Iconians a pain. It makes even less sense when the icons in the top right of the screen showing what mining resources you have are still coloured and anti-matter is still orange on the map! It must be a bug.
And please, oh please, give us options to sort/filter planets/ships/etc [e digicons]:)[/e]
This. And cycle through shipyards (which despite the devs beliefs, you currently can't do).
Just went back and played GC2 after a long hiatus. Man, is it ugly compared to 3. In fact, I found I could barely go back to it. Everything looks so coarse. Even the UI is not so good and it's harder to physically see/find the info you want. The tech tree is ugly. Even the fonts are harder to read. And there are annoyances like the constant snapping-back to your colony (maybe you can change that though I don't know). So many strides have been made in the new design, e.g. idle
Really, I ask you to GREATLY IMPROVE THE AI. The game is well made, but it's going to be no fun if the AI is so dumb.
No doubt they are working on the AI as we speak
What does the grey 8-pointed (I think it is) star icon above a planet mean?
I hope they add the ability to cycle through shipyards - that is necessary IMHO
The truth is, if you could travel to the stars, you would have already colonized the viable planets in your solar system long ago...so the game having the option to colonize Mars is a bit eyebrow-raising :)
Agreed with OP.
- Planets list icons still disappear upon loading a saved game - Mining resources are still white on the map (except anti-matter) - makes playing espec. Iconians difficult ;) - The Yor have a Frigate after 26 turns - really? - Apparently my military power is #2 - yet I don't have any military ships! Yor have more than me yet they are 5th... - When I try to colonize a planet already taken by the AI I get the message "Fleet has no trade ships"... - CT
