I should have been more clear on the various factions. Chaos is the only 'race' worthy of doing five different portraits for. There is Chaos Undivided whose main champion in the 40K universe is Abbaddon the Despoiler, the right hand 'man' of Horus the Betrayer whom died in battle with his father the God Emperor of Mankind during the Horus Heresy. A seven year long battle that tore the Imperium of Man in half, pitting brother against brother, more than ten thousand years prior

This reminds me. Is there some way to set how long each tech age is? I always think the Age of Expansion is way too short. I'd like to see the script on steam anyways. More options are always better for power players and I really don't like modding my game manually, I want the workshop to manage them for me.

Nah, research is pretty broken atm. Pretty sure it's on the todo list for balancing, could be wrong though.

I'd like to hear how the script is working out in game. I prefer very very slow games. I'd be happy if the research/manufacturing was at 10% or less of normal. Also, I hope you can add this script to the Steam Workshop when 1.1 comes out.

He just does pictures. If you follow the instructions he laid out above and drop the images in the right folder they'll show up as available portraits when you create the race using the ingame editer. Blood for the Blood God!

Did you actually own a planet yourself yet? I find the game has to have at least one planet that you own for it to place a new one for you that you also will own. If not you can just save the Benevolent points until you take over a planet and then choose the trait to get your free new planet.
