And a Galactic Year is clearly equal to a Terran Solar Year? Use your imaginations people, we're gamers.

I mentioned this in another thread, but it deserves its own. Someone needs to make a Warhammer 40K mod complete with Battlefleet Gothic ship designs for the various races. Death to the False Emperor!
What I have taken from this thread is that clearly we need a Warhammer 40K mod complete with ships from Battlefleet Gothic. Massive karma if someone does this.
I want to play at harder difficulties to make the AI more competitive but this is the one thing that drives me nuts. Give him bonuses to production, research, whatever; but at least make him build sensor boats like me and explore. I want it to deserve that planet in my home territory, or that starbase resource.
The "game" doesn't even have 20-40 factions, clearly this isn't the intended experience they would design maps around. If you want to create 20-40 factions to stuff them all into a map they don't really fit in, that's a choice outside of the norm. If you want them to actually fit, then you should probably consider taking the few seconds required to alter the maps to go with all that time you've spent creating c
Then we can get the zoom in function to get us all the way down to graphical display of the improvement layout! I want to be able to tell which factories are upgraded and which are not! [e digicons]:)[/e]
This would be amazing. I want to see the appropriate continents and buildings rotating with the planet if I zoom in far enough. Think of the screenshots.
This is awesome! Looking forward to other races and eras! The Klingons and Romulans obviously. The Dominion's would be great as well as the Cardassians. Can't forget the Borg of course. Probably not possible, but I'd love it if you could force the shipyard near Earth to be Utopia Planitia in style.
I think this would be a fun mod for all major races. I really want a truly custom home system for my minor race. Hope someone can point you to what you need.
Because the space the farms are being used for can be better utilised with research or anything else but just waiting for the population to increase. Growth modifiers suck, good luck getting to .3 per turn without every growth mod in the book thrown at it.
A 64-bit game with a turn limit that doesn't even approach 16-bit? If that's true Paul and Brad should turn in their white hats.
A lot of these are issues the devs are indeed working on. Sortable lists, are you sure for declare war, etc.. Never had the problem with chain building in late game even when my AI turn slows to a snail's pace.
This seems like it should be easy enough to add. Hotseat would be nice to play at home with your family.
@ Christian_Akacro : Here's the link to the thread for my updated mod. https://forums.galciv3.com/466468/page/1 I too would like it if the AI could utilize this; they will build military starbases near their planets, b
Those sort of events are coming with Expansions/DLC from what I gather from the livestreams.
I modded in the ability for Military starbases to increase Planetary Defense in their area of influence. It certainly doesn't fix all the issues, but it does at least give a reason to target them prior to attempting an invasion, instead of just bypassing them on the way to the planet.
This is awesome, I want this. I want the AI to use this.

Another way to ask this question, that may get a better answer: What Galaxy Size is the narrative played in with all Major Races?
I still want Deep Space 9 from the later seasons, able to take on fleets of Dominion ships trying to take over Bajor and the Wormhole and augment the fighting power of any other fleets stationed there.
Really up to the tastes of the player, I'd say. Personally I like an uncrowded map.
Unfortunately there is no direct way to observe how much a tech costs in research points at the moment. They could be reverse engineered but who wants to do that.
Agreed. Perhaps three types though. At war with, allied with, the rest?
The motion is passed, all are in favour!

Couple quick tips. For non-manufacturing world's I usually try to get my production above 15 per turn as most buildings have their costs in multiples of 15. This is mid-late game of course. Early game I shoot for 5-7.5. Small worlds I set to 100% production until they complete their building sets for Research, as that's all I ever use them for, not worth making them into anything else. Wealth is very unimportant in the early game. I always set my slider to 0% Economy, 50% research, 50
