On my insane map I've been getting major slowdowns AFTER movement. I'm on turn one-sixty something. Movement processes ok, for me at least who knows for the AI. But once I click to process the AI turns I have clocked 10-12 minutes before the next turn starts. This is on 1.01, no pirates, and a half dozen major races. 8GB Ram, 2.0 GHz AMD Radeon 8400 512MB.

Oh so many good races to choose from. Star Trek Definitely need Species 8472 from Voyager. Ferengi from DS9, this needs a picture of Grand Nagus Zek. The Binars are one of my favourite TNG minor races, good luck with high res on season 1. The Phage from Voyager. Oh and of course The Dominion from DS9 with the female changeling as the leader. The Gorn from TOS.. not sure if there are any good pics of them. The Card
Space is big... very big even when we are only considering a 2 dimensional abstract representation of it as we are here. ZOC is, by definition, an area that you can control by military presence; so feel free to declare war if you think they are within your borders and forcibly remove them. If you are strong enough they will sue for peace soon enough. If you are not, then maybe your ZOC was not as big as you thought it was
</p

Zone of Control (ZoC) ≠ Political Boundary/Border (PB) I know this frustrates a number of players, myself included. The AI colonizes and builds starbases within your ZoC. Now I know Brad has said that this is working as intended, and even threw us a crappy UP resolution as a 'compromise', however I think his reasoning is flawed and I'd like to be refuted. The closest parallel I can th

- Increase the length of time of the 'No Colonizing within enemy ZoC' UP Resolution. Or give us the option to make it permanent. - Better yet, just give us a setting to change this in game setup.

Definitely not, I have a large game going as a custom influence race and towards turn 200 I'm getting three or four planets per rival per turn from culture flipping. Mostly because they have been colonizing in my ZoC, the UP resolution to stop that is WAY too short.

I'm not a modder. I'm a mod user. I've used several mods for a few Steam Games. Most notably Prison Architecht and Civ: BE., Never had a problem from the user end aside from mod support being dropped away slowly by the modders. There may be merit to your arguments, I'm not qualified to comment on that. Just thought I'd mention the user side of things from my perspective.

Version 1.1 is supposed to be coming with Steam Workshop support.

It took me nearly fifty turns to figure this out. When you have more than four sponsor planets within the five hex radius of a shipyard and you build a colony ship, the sponsor planets that can contribute population to the ship only displays the top four colonies in the Colony Ship Embarkation UI. There is no scroll bar on the side, which is why it took me so long to realise what was happening, and when you do scroll with the mouse wheel it is very slow to move up and down the list. Consideri
