Next release? Next beta is estimated for the middle of March.
Also is it my imagination or when I highlight a ship in a stack and then move is it the unhighlighted ship that moves???
That kind of unintuitive action trips me up every time, too.
There is a known problem with trying to declare war on the Iridium. Was that what you were trying to do? There is a list of reported problems in Beta 4 here.
Check out this list of known problems in Beta 4. The text box issue is listed, and I think the developers have said that hotkeys will be added in a later beta.
If you are a precursor, @Meglobob, what am I?
It's a Stardock website that's running software produced by Kayako. I think. Anyway, when I use it I first sign in with the userid and password that I use for the forums.
Well, yes, but the buildings themselves also provide adjacency bonuses. A manufacturing building will provide an adjacency bonus of +1 level to other manufacturing buildings, a marketplace will provide +1 bonus to other economic buildings, etc.
I have a feeling the developers would be very interested in hearing about your crash, as they are focused on getting the game stable. Suggestions - first, move this post to the support forum by editing the original post, selecting Categories in the header, and then selecting Support from the drop down list. Second, check out this post and submit a ticket to make a formal report.
Basically yes, but it's a little more complicated because the building you choose to build will also have an adjacency bonus, so once you put an economic building on that +2 tile you might decide that the +1 economic bonus it gives to adjacent tiles is worth more to you than the +1 manufacturing you get from the bonus tile.
I haven't played around much with the ship designer, so I'm afraid I can't be of much further help to you. One thing I can suggest is that the developers seem more likely to respond to posts in the Support forum. You can move this to that forum by editing the original post, selecting Categories in the header, and the selecting Support from the drop down list.
You do realize that the game is still in beta and that the mining is scheduled to go in at a later date?
A number of other people have reported freezes, and the developers have requested that you open a ticket with support if you do. This post explains how to open a ticket.
Agree.
1. To post pictures, put the jpg/png in a hosting service (most of us use dropbox) get the external/public url for it, then click the little icon that looks like a picture of a tree and paste the url into the box that pops up. 2. A bug report will get attention more quickly if it's posted in the Support forum. You can edit the original post, select Categories, and then select Support in the drop down list to move this post to the support forum.
Not to disagree with your request, but to see if you can get it going soon, what kind of mouse do you have? Some of them will do a MB3 if you press down on the scroll wheel.
Check out Brad's post here. And same reposted here.

The way the Hyperion Shrinker is described in game convinced me that it was useless, and so I never built it. Thanks to this thread I now know that it works differently and could be very valuable. This should be an example to the Stardock developers of how important it is to get the little things (like tooltip descriptions) correct - if you don't, your players might never try out a feature that you worked hard to get into the game.
This was mentioned before, if I remember correctly the problem was limited to the Altarian tech tree. It apparently wasn't fixed in Beta 4. I do know that I won a tech victory in Beta 3, I think as human.
Quoting Publius of NV, reply 1 Is this the same issue reported here? Yes. If only your title had been more specific I might have discovered it and avoided this shame. [e digicons]:)[/e]
Recently I'm trying to make my
I'm pretty sure this was reported in a previous beta, and it's still a problem in 0.72. If you have traded a treaty for a lot of techs, when you scroll the treaty window the long list of techs overflows above and below where they are supposed to be displayed, including out onto the galaxy map. Note that the window looks fine when you first bring it up, it's only after scrolling that this happens: <img src="https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/5003976/GC3Beta4_20
Some (a few) answers: 2) It's not hard to keep morale at 100% if you keep your food supply higher than your population. If the population gets close to the food supply max your approval starts to drop. I expect the developers will do some tuning with this in later stages of the beta. 3) These problems have been reported already in the Support forum, hopefully they (and other problems reported in Ideology) will get fixed. 7) Agreed, I generally set my pr
My two ship fleet attacked a single Drengin ship defending its home world. The confirm battle window that comes up before the battle viewer showed this, with what looks like 32 bit overflow values for attack/defense/hitpoints: Sorry to keep posting minor problems like this, but on my system I can't get the game to crash [e digicons][/e] Edit: I have a <a href=
Is this the same issue reported here ?
I also mostly play zoomed out, and frequently move the wrong ship because there's no highlight of the active ship in that mode. So I agree with the original post's point #1.
