Shoot! Sorry, don't know what happened -- the pics didn't post, just a buncha gunk. It won't let me edit it. Help?
I see the pictures, very nice! Zathrus is one of my favorites, too.

Using a custom race and the basic tech tree, I researched the Extreme Colonization tech, and then tried to colonize a barren world, which says that it requires that tech. I'm unable to colonize it, the game refuses to let my colony ship target the planet. Ticket #KUD-452-36439 opened, saved game sent.
I got a similar trade request from a minor where it looked like a gift, and got a CTD when clicking accept. I've opened a support ticket for it.
The Thalans don't have another habitable planet in their home system because their home planet is higher quality. Generally, the races home systems are balanced so that the total number of tiles across all planets are equal (for example the Krynn start with 3 planets but their home world is class 8).
Either the trait or the tooltip is wrong, so it's a bug either way.
I reloaded the autosave and when the diplomacy window came up again it crashed again. So I have a saved game that should be able to reproduce the problem if you need it.
I suggest you move this post to the support forum, since it seems like a definite bug and the developers seems to respond more quickly in that forum. Edit your original post, pull down the Categories drop down list, and select Support.
Make sure you really can colonize frozen and water, and not just barren. Because that's what the other thread said, that only barren was colonizable.
The diplomacy window popped up when a minor race offered me a gift. At least that's what it looked like - there was nothing listed on my side of the trade and they had a tech listed on their side of the trade. I clicked on Accept and the game crashed. Ticket #EPP-692-23473 opened.
No solution, but in another thread someone reported that it only allows you to colonize barren worlds, not all types of extreme worlds.
The developers seem to notice possible bug reports faster if they are posted in the Support forum. Please move this post there by editing the original post, selecting Categories, and selecting Support from the drop down list.
I started a new game, got my first colony and 10 ideology points, spent them on an ideology pick, and the tooltip says I still have 10 points left with the next pick costing 20 points. So the bug definitely is that the points aren't being deducted when spent.
I saw the same thing, the Thalans liked me and everyone else was furious with me.
I ran into your problems #1, 2, and 3. Annoying. Agree with 4. The first window that you see when you select to create a custom race, the "Customize Civilization" window, lets you choose an already created race, and there's a Delete button in the lower left of the selected race's picture that will actually delete the race..
If the description says extreme worlds but the implementation is only barren worlds, then this is a bug. I suggest that the post be moved to the support forum so that it will get the attention it deserves.
At this point I have 20 colonies and 11 Pragmatic picks, 0 Benevolent and 0 Malevolent. I wish I had known to check how many points I had much earlier. At some point I noticed that the picks cost 70 points, and after I chose the next one that they cost 80 points. Right now my next one is 120 points, and I haven't gotten a pick for the last several colonies as opposed to the way I was at the beginning with one pick per colony. So maybe you're right, they aren
With the new interface I don't see where my current ideology point totals are displayed. Where do you see them? Edit: Oh, never mind, I found out. There's a tooltip on the "Pragmatic" heading at the top. It says I have 70 points, which I think would indicate that the points are being deducted.
I'm getting a new pragmatic ideology pick with every planet I colonize. In the last few betas, if I remember correctly, you accumulated ideology points and the more advanced picks required more points. Now it looks, at least in the pragmatic tree, like all picks require the same amount of points, and you get that number of points just by colonizing a planet. Is anyone else seeing this?
Thank you very very much for continuing the list of known errors, Seilore.
I just took this Pragmatic Trading choice to see what would happen if I already had a trade route, since the original poster did not. Same result. I got the freighter, but my 1/1 trade available trade licenses stayed at 1/1 when it should have gone to 2/2. I suggest this thread be moved to the support forum, inthedock. To do that, edit your original post, and change the category to "Support" in the drop down list. The developers check the support forum more oft
In the window to select a planet for a custom race homeworld: Blanet? Turisem? Moral? (should be Morale).
Yes, that's what reply #1 means.

My laptop has 8G RAM too, and I've never seen one of these freezes, even on an immense map. Maybe it does have to do with video ram, since my nVidia card has 4G.
