I'm not real creative, so while I spent a good deal of time in GC2 designing my ships, they were kind of boring. Whatever gets done in GC3, I'd like to be able to see other player's designs and install them as mods. I'm sure there are going to be some awesome looking designs done.
As a dedicated sandbox player since the OS/2 days, I never even tried the GC1 for Windows campaign until well after GC2 came out, and when I did it CTD'd before I could finish it (Stardock support, as good as they usually are, could not help me with it). I was also never able to finish the GC2 campaign because I sucked at battling the dread lords. Is there a text description somewhere that explains the events of the campaigns, and how they affect the lore of the GC universe?

Nice, ID! I just picked up a couple of DLCs that I was missing, one for SoaSE:Rebellion and one for FE:LH.
Thanks very much for linking to the article! I also liked this part ... Are you planning to have any mod support for Galactic Civilizations III ? Galactic Civilizations III will be our most moddable game yet, which is saying something.
Funny thing is, I remember having so much fun during the GalCivII Beta that the actual release was kind of anti-climactic. It was like, "Yeah...but I've already been playing this for a year!"
Those were my feelings exactly. I remember posting one of the first scores to the Metaverse, and having the high score for about 12 hours. Took a week or so off from playing the game, and could never again crack the top 10.
I only needed to watch it once before hitting Purchase!
Great news! Stardock, you have another elite founder ...
I've owned every Gal Civ since OS/2. You now have another elite founder ...
