I'm also seeing this:
Publius of NV
I'm on the opt-in, on Crusade+Intrigue, but I'm not seeing my leader instead of the robot on either the research or GNN windows. Is it because I'm using a custom civ?
Anybody knows Star Control: Origins well ? Which three races can be in DLC ?
Based on what has been said elsewhere, there are four races included. The Mowlings (pictured above in the first post), the Mu'Kay, a friendly aquatic species, the Free Trandals, a race of fearsome looking creatures who were recently freed from an aggressive AI called Overmind, and the Tywom, a race of large slug-like creatures.
Excellent news!
The Shale storyline in Dragon Age 1. Discovering the lore about her, the golems, and the Dwarves was pretty awesome.
I have to agree with this. Perhaps only tangentially related to the quest topic, I also enjoyed Dragon Age: Origins's feature to play as seven (I think) different characters with quests and NPCs reactions, dialogue, and game endings being different for each one. Edit: I guess this re
Oblivion: The Thieve's Guild quests that you do for the Grey Fox, where you do all these incredibly difficult thefts and find out at the end that you've been helping the Grey Fox remove a curse and reunite with his wife.
Typically by sending an email to , but the devs will sometimes notice a post here and handle it for you.
There's a pragmatic ideology trait for can't declare war for 50 turns that's separate from the government types, did you have that?
They are SCO aliens, and Brad posted screenshots of them as GC3 civilizations in the Discord channel. I have no idea though when or how they will be added to GC3. Cool to hear there are Steam achievements for them!
I can't prove that the problem is gone, but I have played 3 more Fleet Battles, this time on 1.1, and the freeze has not happened again.
Not that I didn't like the original Trandals voice actor, but I do like the differentiation between the Overmind and the Free Trandals, and the new voice actor does a good job. The animated background is also good.
Not enough information. When you bump your ship into the planet you should see a prompt to hit the E key. Do you see that? Sometimes a Tywom ship will be next to you and the E prompt will be for that ship instead of the planet. Is that your problem? If so, wait until the ship moves away enough so that the E prompt appears for the planet.
I can't address the intent of the game developers as to whether the resource requirements should be rebalanced. But I can tell you that your galaxy settings determine the resources generated on the map. Asteroid frequency determines durantium frequency, black holes determine antimatter, and nebulas determine elerium. Promethium and thulium are determined by the number of dead planets. So if you set black holes to rare, you won't find much antimatter, rare asteroids w
At the Caltech Alumni Seminar day last May I attended a presentation where a professor described that latest video from Boston Dynamics showing their robot do a back flip. He then showed multiple videos of the same robot failing at that and similar tasks that Boston Dynamics had chosen not to share with the press. The one that sticks in my memory was the complete inability of the robot to handle uneven or soft terrain. Standing on sand, the robot could not even complete a si
I've seen that also and reported it on the Discord server. When it happens to me, sometimes I can see a tiny little ship/building, and sometimes I can't see anything.
The only thing that worked for me was to remove the fleet coordinator from my ship at a star base and fight the battles manually.
I honestly don't know about ships, but I do know that you do have to start a new game to see the effects of a mod after you install it.
You can mark systems and label them in the sector map.
Tree killer! Any tree the lander runs into falls over with only a minor impact to the lander's speed! I'd definitely equip that!
As would I!
Are you talking about the text labels?
No, I'm talking about how the stars in 1.01 were faded on the sector map after you'd visited them. Now they are not. I see that the labels are faded out now, but that requires me to mouse over the star to see the label. Also, performance on Organic worlds like 82 G Eriadni II is not improved by 1.02 opt-in. My FPS still drops into the high teens on those world
With the opt-in I can no longer tell which systems I've visited on the star map. Before the opt-in the faded stars were pretty obvious, but now I can't tell the difference.
Improved perf for worlds with lots of vegetation.
I've been getting frame rate drops down into the low 20s on those worlds, so if I can find one of those worlds tomorrow I'll definitely let you know how it affects my system. Thanks!
If you care about Steam achievements, there are a few that require killing and capturing critters.
On that note, are the planets the humans colonize set, or is it whichever ones you have visited near Earth?
As far as I know, the same 3 (if you give up 3 hyperdrives) get colonized, in the same order, every time. At least that's how it happened for me in 4 full or partial games.
As far as I have yet determined, most of them are useless, but one or two are useful for quests. I suspect that the rest are either simply Easter Egg references or might be setups for future DLC/expansions. At least they don't take up space on the Vindicator.
