I just did an experiment with my tiny monitor. In Firefox, go to Options, then Content, then Advanced. Set the font sizes to be bigger. Probably around 20 for the proportional setting and 18 for the monospace and minimum settings. Then uncheck the little box that lets websites set their own fonts. The change is immediate, so you can switch back and forth between the tabs until it looks good for you. It won't mess with the rest of the page, so the edges

Best places to purchase are Stardock direct and Steam. Other good retailers are GMG, Gamergate, GameStop, etc. [/quote] That's good enough for me. Thanks for clearing that up, ID.
I think I finally saw the review being referenced. It's from a well respected member here and I agree with most of his comments other than the weight he puts on them. The game is still in its early stages and is being refined as we speak. The problems listed aren't a game killer other than the AI issue, which I haven't seen. For the games I've played and including my current one, the AI seems to be responding as well as can be expected at this early stage. I'
Is this legit? I'd like to hear from Stardock before buying these keys. Has anyone bought a key and had any issues? Tentative thanks for the link.

Thanks for the tip, Valtek01! +1 Karma to you. :) I bought a cheap laptop when I was on vacationing just to play this game (at the suggestion of my wife, believe it or not). It has 4 cores, but only integrated graphics and only 4 GB of RAM. While I haven't experienced a crash, it would help speed things up. I'll probably tweak this on my main gaming machine as well, since I only keep it zoomed to the icon level anyway.
Thanks for working so hard on the updates, folks! As far as this one goes, I didn't even know about a lot of these issues. I still haven't experienced a crash of any type on either machine that has the game installed. Rock solid on both. I experienced the Altarian ship thing, but every ship that didn't spawn was just a scout, so I ignored it. Great job! I'm looking forward to continuing my game. (Can't do that to

A little update: The CDT doesn't happen when I'm in full screen mode or windowed with the game set to the same resolution as my monitor. My monitor is set to 1920 x 1080. First, I'd like to say that the new UI is awesome! The game overall looks great, too. That said, there are some bugs and things that will make the game annoying in the future if they persist. Bugs first - - Crash to Desktop in the Ship Designer: If I look at an existing design and click on the first item on the list at the bottom of the screen, the picture of the ship goes blank. I'd hate to lose the squirrels. They just make logical sense when you compare. Hopefully, the vocal minority won't have an impact on the game.
Awesome deal, Brad! :) This will be interesting to see the project through from before the typical beginning. I'm looking forward to seeing your process.

I really like the snarky comments too. They add to the game's atmosphere, even after you've heard them over and over. Please keep them coming. :)

Some of us have used Skype for gaming chat on Demigod, Evony and such. It should work fine for GalCiv3 as well. I'd assume that MP users will probably know each other to some extent and you can set up a separate group for each gaming group.

I don't understand the problem. You'll need an internet connection to download, but the FAQ clearly says you don't need it to play. That is, you'll be able to deselect it or some such thing. If you lose your machine to an asteroid strike or something, you can always hop online and download at the hospital while they're sewing in that new spleen. If you do, in fact, move to Pluto, you can be sure there's a Starbucks with free wifi there.
Merry Christmas and happy New Year to all! :)
