Unfortunately you can't size up a design. I expect this to happen in the future. What you can do is use the group and save as template button to save groups of components and then make a new design. The button is on the design pallete with the flip and mirror controls. I had to do this because I made my Miranda ship a Tiny instead of a small ship.

They discussed this on one of their previous dev streams. They plan on adding it but it's a bit harder then one may think. You need to unload all the resources, reload them etc...
This game looks 3 times better then a couple days ago and it was looking very good then. I found out another opt-in dropped before and after my stream started (8:30 CST). I'm guessing I was playing 97.6?!? I noticed all my settings were wiped and I was playing 97.5 this weekend. Some observations of the game. The AI played much stronger then previously. I was playing on Genius. There was a much better balance of units across all races. I didn't see any
It seemed to not manifest itself on my live stream. I don't know if we patched earlier today. I created the new game at 8:30 CST and had a new opt-in after my stream.
Bah, the new opt-in happened after I started my stream. I thought 8:30 CST would have been late enough.
Thank you for everyone that attended my first live stream. It was nice to have an audience. I'm going to probably do more so any feedback is welcome. Sorry for the quirks I was using XSplit Gamecaster. I didn't have the archive option checked on twitch so no video for youtube :(
FYI, the damage is applied the moment the weapons fire. For missile travel time is not a factor.
Thank you. Sadly, I was playing around with XSplit so I don't have a video. I'm considering on doing this more often.
yeah but then i tested with a new game and still had the same issue the problem was that when you move a rally point all the ships that were going to that point now continue on to the point where the rally point was and do not get updated to the new rally point
Pretty sure it's always worked this way. Although, I'd like to see them update when you move it. For now create a temp rally point u
Playing for another hour. Unfortunately it doesn't look like I'm able to record while streaming with XSplit Gamecaster (aka I'm a streaming noob and might switch back to OBS). Thank you, everyone that joined for my first stream.
Haha, no worries we have all used Paint Brush or MS Paint some time before.
Check the social apps on galciv3.com. They should also post when and who is on at least the day before.
*twitch*.....*twitch* Patients....not working...not gonna make it...LoL. Two more days? If there's not going to be any major modding changes I'd like to get my hands on it now. It's looking goooooood.
Check this site for streamers playing prior to game release. SD is going to be on the stream giving out Galactic Civilization's 3 Founders Elite keys (All DLC, All Expansio
I will be streaming tonight starting at 8:30 PM CST (give or take a few minutes for dinner) http://www.twitch.tv/illauna P.S. This is not a Stardock sponsered stream so sadly no Freebies. I'm just a gamer streaming games that I enjoy.
Any updates tonight?
Visually, yes you will have a higher rate of fire. However, your damage might be lower or the same. The reason why I say it could be lower is if you focus on one weapon type you will punch through the ships defenses quicker and once you do everything will hit the hull. If you mix weapon types you have to account for additonal defenses which would lower your overall damage. However, if your enemy has strong defense against your main weapon type and is missing one
The NDA for GalCiv3 was lifted a long time ago.
I posted about last night. The AI is building nothing but constructors and making a ton of starbases. Probably to bloat their military power. I'm going to take a guess this broke when SD fixed military power. I'm about 130 turns in and some of the AIs have 50+ constructors, 10-15 starbases maxed on modules and very few if any defenders. In fact, the only defenders I've seen is the survey ship, the malevolent frigate and their starting scout. What impresses me is I haven'
The AI does get tired of war. I was at war with the Drengin for 30ish turns and they valued peace at approx 1600 credits worth of stuff. I don't know if it's the number of turns (which is tracked on the report tab) or the fact invaded all but one of the Drengin's planets that they offered this deal. I usually just exterminate but I'm now seeing a benefit in offering peace deals and finishing off the AI later.
My wife is going to leave me because of this damn game.
The Govern button on the bottom left corner of the colony screen allows you to adjust each colonies sliders individually. If you eat up all your unused production in another category the error it will no longer prompt you for idle colony.
Make sure you are saving the icon as a PNG. JPG doesn't have transparency. Also, download Paint.NET or Gimp (I prefer Paint.NET) the are free alternatives to Adobe Photoshop.
Absolutely, thank you. I've made 4 or 5 of the original Moo races, lol. I'm just having trouble finding good pics. I'm having no luck finding logos. Any suggestions as to good sites or sources for either? Thanks!
I just search google for logos or icons and add some additional filters to come up with a theme.
Brad, Have you looked into why they are building so many constructors. Each AI has a ton of them. In fact I think it's all they are building for "military" ships. Save: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/58126813/0.97.5%20-%20Terran%20-%20T138.zip
Are there going to be Angry Joe and TB reviews for this game? I just started watching the Angry Joe show and always been a TB fan. Since their likeness were used to show off custom races I was wondering if they have been given their review copies.
