To celebrate the release of the game tomorrow I'm just hanging out and streaming. I'm just playing tonight on my channel. Feel free to come hang out. Feel free to ask any questions I will keep an eye on the chat. twitch.tv/illauna I'm thinking I may stream most of my games. Partly to record my own play and improve my strategies and partly to entertain.

Which means you can play today. Looking at the patch notes only thing that you have to wait until tomorrow for is the campaign. (OMG THE TRAILER IS AWESOME!)
I love GC3 and want it to be a great success. But, I think Stardock would be well advised to watch releases like Cities: Skylines. Good workshop integration is a big deal these days. Does not seem like a 1.1 item to me.
They know this and if it was ready steam workshop integration would have been out right away.

The tooltip for teh ship role will display it's targetting priorities. You can use this and the ships attributes to make a guess on the composition needed. In general, you need enough defenders to abosrb the damage while your attackers kill the enemies defenders. If you don't have any escorts your support ships and capital ships will be high priority for attackers. This is best explained with examples

Don't forget the ship role plays a major difference. I've illustrated a few times on my stream that a battle where I had better values ended in defeat the enemy had Escorts that destroyed all my assault ships first then escorts. Had I brought a better fleet composition I could have easily won the battle.

You can make parts out of groups of components if you want from your original design. I agree this needs to be added as an option. Don't expect it prior to release.

For now you can share the three files from the design folder (PNG, SHIP, and OBJGFXCFG) that people can put in their design folder. The devs are saying in about 1.1 steam workshop integration will be complete and you will be able to trade them via steam.

Thank you for those that were able to make it. I will post the video online. Saturday afternoon I will be streaming the release game on twitch.tv/illauna for much of the morning and afternoon. I will just be hanging out playing so feel free to stop by. There won't be as much babble unless people have questions about the game mechanics which I will help explain.

It's pretty short notice. Again, playing around with software for twitch. I'm going to be playing around with the evil Drengin tonight. Come hang out. twitch.tv/illauna Feel free to ask questions. If there is an audience I will explain any mechanics (to the best of my knowledge). If there isn't an audience I'll cry :D jk
The Launch Weekend Ship Parts DLC is not and never will be for sale, and will be automatically added to your Steam account when it becomes available on launch day, May 14.
No they really are only available this week. Considering SD history, you can be pretty sure that this pack will be limited to only people that are early adopters if that's the message here. So you have until 5/17 to buy the game for this pack.

https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/58126813/Moo3%20Images.zip Download them while you can I won't be hosting this on my dropbox forever. The player icons are pure white. I'm guessing they colored them in based on faction color. These are for MOO3. I'll work on the other games later this week. I'm kinda in the mood to stream tonight.

It's that period during development that all new features are put on hold and the goal is to make sure the game doesn't break.
Just a few game suggestions: -Upgrading my custom ship designs is frustrating. I get a new technology, and now I have to go through all my designs and change them to use it. I have a whole topic on that here . -The battle viewer, though awesome, still needs some work on cameras. Specifically, I often find it is zoomed out so far that the entire battle fills only about a tenth of my
I like the ability to give global orders to ships, but it needs expanding to custom planet governors.
Yes, this is needed for when I research a new factory and want to switch all my research planets from R100 to R50 M50 quickly. It's a quality of life feature that I hope gets added.

Was talking with someone about this. I would the ability to create templates to allocate my production that can be used on the command screen. This would allow me to quickly change strategies for planets without having to click through all the governer screens. This would also make it easy to switch my research planets to mixed research and production when I have new upgrades to build.
