Playing GalCiv3 tonight on Twitch.TV

I will be streaming tonight starting at 8:30 PM CST (give or take a few minutes for dinner)

P.S. This is not a Stardock sponsered stream so sadly no Freebies. I'm just a gamer streaming games that I enjoy.

Playing for another hour. Unfortunately it doesn't look like I'm able to record while streaming with XSplit Gamecaster (aka I'm a streaming noob and might switch back to OBS). Thank you, everyone that joined for my first stream.

Sorry I only caught the tail end. Great stream.

Thank you. Sadly, I was playing around with XSplit so I don't have a video. I'm considering on doing this more often.

Thank you for everyone that attended my first live stream. It was nice to have an audience. I'm going to probably do more so any feedback is welcome.

Sorry for the quirks I was using XSplit Gamecaster. I didn't have the archive option checked on twitch so no video for youtube :(

This game looks 3 times better then a couple days ago and it was looking very good then. I found out another opt-in dropped before and after my stream started (8:30 CST). I'm guessing I was playing 97.6?!? I noticed all my settings were wiped and I was playing 97.5 this weekend.

Some observations of the game.

The AI played much stronger then previously. I was playing on Genius. There was a much better balance of units across all races. I didn't see any of the 99 constructors issue that I was seeing over the weekend. I initially thought on the stream that the Kyrnn weren't putting up much a fight considering their military power but after lifting the FOW I realized they were fighting the Drengin.

Planetary invasions seem a little easy to pull off. It's not a deal breaker that can be fixed in a patch. Also, the peaceful AIs should at least have a minimal amount of ships to defend itself. In this case the Terran had nothing but the starting ships. The Yor was collecting money like crazy.

I will be abandoning this game but here is the link if anyone would like to see the save.

I was hoping for some dudes marching across the planet in invasions. Not ones we control, obviously, but more so as a graphic to show how well the invasion is going with your choices. I'm sure they'll get to that later though, maybe in a expansion/dlc.

i think i recall them saying that they wanted to do more with the battle viewer but what they wanted was to difficult to do in the timeline so they dropped it and were going to implement it a later time

The invasion battle viewer was put on hold for now. The whole invasion mechanic changed as of Beta 6 because it was causing some trouble. They announced they will add it after release.

If not ships (though those too) maybe a beefier militia. I could have sworn there were some buildings in GC2 that boosted your ground defense forces. Been a while though.

Appreciate the info there, thanks.
