The Drengin may not care what Ideology you are. I'm still learning how diplo works but I know I believe they value each offense differently. Altaria HATES you if you are not the same ideology as them and the Kyrnn are worse. The Kyrnn are usually the first to declare war on me.

Look at the graph. You can generally get an idea what is happening. If it's the YOR it's because the AI was just taught how to use it's abilities. The devs are ware they are a bit OP right now. Iridium could be buying ships outright. On the graph you can see their military spending as well as their current income. They may have dropped a ton of credits. The AI also builds 1 shipyard per planet so they can genrally knock out ships fairly quickly. Save your game hit the tilda key an
Animation right now requires Bink2. The devs are looking into a different method because Bink2 is a premium software package unlike Bink1. Look for a dev journal on the custom faction. However, the game will stretch out or shrink the image as needed. You may get distortions though.
3) Some planets have hexes with special property. Some come right out and say "put research here", then there are more vague ones like the caverns and the haven which grant military or morale boosts.
The green arrow you see grants adjacency bonus if you build a matching improvement on the tile. So, if you see +3 influence you want to build a consulate. The 4 yellowish arrows arranged in a diamond grants adjacency bonus
Population affects production which pretty much affects everything. Production = 2 * pop ^ 0.7 Your production then is allocated to wealth, manufacturing, and research to set your raw research and manufacturing. Your raw manufacturing is multiplied by your bonuses.
I found something similar today. I was playing around with paint.net and created this. However, the colors need work because it's not readable on the screen.
Asteroids slow you down and are the only place durantium can be found. Mining is in the game just not implememnted the same way as it was in GC2. However, if enough people ask for it they may readd it...just dont hold your breath.
They pulled the Planetary Invasion at it was intended in beta 6 because it just wasn't that much fun. They are reworking it. It's not going to remain in it's current form. Whether this is a patch, dlc or expansion remains to be seen.
No but there will be an expansion with spies...and hopefully cloaked ships.
1. Launch Steam 2. At the top left click Steam > Settings 3. Click Cloud on the left sidebar 4. Uncheck Enable Steam Clound synchronization for applications that support it.
Using the delete button on the save game doesn't help, already tried that! It gets removed from the list ... but after starting the game again the save is still available in the save game window! Steam cloud is NOT enabled in this game!
Is there a compatibility files button windows explorer. If so delete the files in that folder (it's a virtual folder) then make sure compatibility mode
On yesterdays stream I decided to make the Crusader faction with the Silencer from Crusader: No Regret. I'm terrible with computer art and would love if someone could do the icon on the silencers chestplate as a faction icon. I will credit the in the description. I'm in the process of reworking this faction, complete with the XMAS sound track if I can do that. This was a game made by origin that I played when I was a little kid. I remember being "disappointed" with the X
Use the delete button on the save game window. This game supports steam cloud and it's what is giving you grief.
It is a design flaw though. I get that lasers and kinetics need to be viable options, but what is the rationale?! As it currently plays, if you use exclusively missiles, you just have to assume your ship captains are morons charging in guns blazing rather than utilizing the range advantage!
I kinda think (and hope) they will remove the range requirement and have thrusters in to boost evasion.
From a tactical point of view it make no sense what so ever... I hope and do think the battle viewer will get some love down the line. Currently it is not all that fun to watch other than look at the light show.
Pretty much all battle viewer is intended to do. SD has stated many times the Quick Battle option and Battle Viewer option will always produce the same results. Weapon ranges is something new, and could actually
They are saved I just don't have them auto enabled. I just gotta preview them quickly to make sure I'm not picking my nose or something for the entire world to see. :D I'll put up the past streams this morning on my youtube channel.
never mind ..I see the link. I must be going blind
All done for tonight. Going to cut it short due to a nearby storm.
This is a fairly large game, literally if you're playing on insane. I started playing day one of the alpha and feel they I have a pretty good understanding on how the game works. If anyone is interested in joining my channel tonight at 8:30 CST I will field questions and go over the mechanics on how to play GalCiv3. I will go over early game strategies, how to play the map, and whatever people would like an explanation on. Feel free to come hang out. My channel
Why is it called the Pleasure Park then and why does the tooltip say greatly increases morale? It is also colored as an influence/approval building not an economic building which are yellow. I think its a bug and not supposed to be increasing money
Considering Approval is still named goods and services it might just be something that was just overlooked.
Can you send me your save and a couple pictures.
Pretty sure it's a bug but yes I think a Gross Income improvement would be nice to have. I can't hot fix it into the game I'm playing so I'm taking advantage of it's current iteration until I start a new game with my personal fix mod (basically all the things that I feel will get changed with the patch)
If the AI is declaring war on you it likely means you have a weak military and you are easy pickings. You can get a very good idea by looking at the negative modifiers on the diplo screen. If they say something like they could crush you easily then you need more military. Tech trading helps. I know people hate this in other games but the AI ia decent idea on how to value it's techs Ship roles in combat are critical. This is how you "control" combat. I would focus on figuri
