Could they have had carriers? Fighters can make it look like a fleet was way over the cap even though it isn't.
ah, that's it! :) And I haven't build any of my own, so they're hard to destroy :)

Is there some tech or ship modules that allows them to use all stacked ships as one big fleet? They seem to have something like 64 logisctics out of 30 max when I attack them... needless to say, my 6 ships gets destroyed, and the Altarians are out of control...
Since the first 6.2 beta, games on gifted or normal, it seems the Iconians are lagging way behind in terms of technology and development. Well, normal is way too easy for me and gifted gave me problems with the Krynn before the last patch iteration, so maybe I'm just too strong for this level (and there were bugs in their tech tree)... But I keep giving them research tech in my games, and yet, it's as if they don't developp. I'm miles ahead of them, ahead of the ot
Hey Bamdorf, if you seen the issue in the latest opt-in build?
for my part, with .97.5 it seemed ok, Information warfare appears in my choices. And I have had zero freezes on invasion too.
Ticket #MVL-519-18755
*bump* Not fixed. Ticket #PCE-990-45956.
ah, great :) Hopefully, not too hard to fix :)
I have freezes, different ones for invasion now. and it seems to reproduce. Ticket #YHV-186-56832. Basically, the AI invades 3 of my planets in the same turn, then I'm stuck at the invasion screen saying "waiting for another player". And my game is stuck there. Unable to resolve the issue, unable to make peace with the Altarians. Link to save game: (hit turn and watch the magic): <a href="https://www.dropbox.com/s/8gw0afbne5
So far, so good. No freeze in planet invasion. In battle viewer though... That's another story :( Ok, it's not as bad as it was. It happenned only once tonight, in about 3hrs of play. I'm submitting my debug.err in case it's useful to one of the devs: https://www.dropbox.com/s/qd8k1cqxoc7z279/debug.err?dl=0

same here, just got a freeze. Much less frequent than it used to, but still there. Not much luck in reproducing it so far...
I got the say the AI is much better now. Still not to my liking, but better and more agressive.
just to let you know that the issue is still in beta 6.2.
I've seen them go for relics in several games, in fact I saw 1 go for a manufacturing relic turn 2 rather than build a colony ship first.
same here, it does go for them. Ascension relics are not a priority when ascension victory is disabled though.
We had the option in GC II and the reasons behind the functionality are still valid. Please help the "just one more turn" players to get the laundry done, kids fed, and all those other real world intrusions. To be useful, the RWC must be visible on the main screen at all times. Thanks.
yeah, there was a mod for that made for Skyrim. Greatest mod ever. Saved a lot of lives! :P
Also, I rarely see the AI building transports and going after planets
I keep seeing it. In fact, he's goddam annoying at attacking my undefended planet, bypassing my fleets :D
*bump* Same for Terran tree. I don't see it in the list of fixed things.
I don't know if you have any history with SD but if you look at the patch history for Fallen Enchantress and Legendary Heroes you can get the idea that this is no EA.
true. But you don't place the bar very high either. [e digicons]:D[/e]
One of the things in these kinds of posts is that people assume that AI doesn't already do common sense things. It does. It's just not necessarily balanced. For example: The AI does designate planets as manufacturing, research, economy planets. But should it wait until it gets better tech to fill in a spot? or should it build something less optimal? It's
well, yes, I saw "crash". but usually, they reference CTD and hung games differently, so I wasn't sure. The game usually does not crash, just freezes. I'll just see when it's release :)

"Sometimes, it's impossible to build terraforming improvements on a planet." on some planets, you can not build the early terraforming improvements. But Biosphere, universal soil adapter and the latest terraforming are always buildable. I wouldn't say it is broken, but it can be counter-intuitive. On the other hand, knowing in advance what techs will lead you to what tile improvement will make the game easier, probably too easy for a human
strange. It never happenned to me more than once. Well, hope they fix it :)
And why are you still trading so badly: you give me 50 credits per turn (!) even already around turn 20 just for two crappy techs that you won't use efficiently anyways? And then you whim, why you are bankrupt??? And starbases: it's nice that you want to mine as much resources as possible. But if you don't build appropriate ships actually making use of these resource-dependent weapon to
It happenned again, so I opened a support ticket for this. #CFT-490-86730
