On balance: The AI should be told to Kill. Every. Damn. Thing. Leave realistic stupid AI decisions to something less obvious: not growing populations so well, etc etc.
I tend to agree. Given surrenders, if you leave starbases there, they will belong to another race soon and they will bite you in the ass, eventually, when another player uses them to extend its range. <div class="inf

And what I've been finding has been amazing and horrifying simultaneously. Imho, an Alliance implies you have open borders and non agression pact. But right now, if you have good enough
The AI used to attack EVERYTHING it could. Now, it just goes straight for planets and ships.
True, it rarely attacks starbases. But when it does, an upgraded starbase with a couple generation's worth of tech in front of the AI and the starbase is gone... :( I remember at some point, after a patch/DLC, the starbases were near indestructible... I think a little buff in their durability might be enjoyable.

It's a problem some are having. See this thread for more info: https://forums.galciv3.com/490829/long-loading-and-saving-times personally, turn times are ok for me (well below 1 min with 22 players, mid game).
I have just built a Ryzen 2700x on a Crosshair VII board with 32gigs of ddr4 3000mhz and I still get this as well as all the mini lags (interface?). Because I have a similar setup to yours, albeit only 16gb ram, but I do
You are square at the minimum configuration, maybe even below if your video card isn't 512mb. The game could be laggy, but it shouldn't affect your PC once you quit the game. In the troubleshooting guide above, try the part about reinstalling DirectX. Also check the section: III. Graphical issues there's a file to download and copy in your game user directory, just

And then after I give up and close the game my PC was all laggy I could do NOTHING. Not even shutdown. I had to turn it off with the physical button. [e digicons]:([/e] Why is that? Playing a huge galaxy with lots of planets/colonies, when you reach that point in game where lots of colonies are fully developped, you could have won the game already, but you're still aiming for a conquest victory... Well, that is boring to play once there. Now, see, I do like some of the changes implemented since Crusade, I appreciate the effort, but some of these things need some more improvement, I believe. The Commonwealth... well, I don't really like the system.
Everything was on default, except galaxy size, IIRC. EDIT: ah, I see I posted in support. I thought I posted in the "general" section. Sorry.
Just played a long game in a huge map. First full game since before Crusade, all DLCs and patches now, so I was learning along the way. Upgrading hundreds of starbases in late game is really, really, annoying and not fun at all. See, at first, we had to build constructors and send them. Then we could request constructors. Then we could auto upgrade starbases where our shipyards would build mini-constructors to upgrade the module. I think this was
I have played only one game since before Crusade. So, I'm not really sure on how things are, balance related, and I know the maps are randomly generated, so 1 out 1 experience is insufficient to report and issue. I'd like to know about other user's experience. I was playing on a huge map. In my recent game, I had, just as before, an abundance of Durantium, maybe 3-4 times more than other resources. Lots of antimatter too. Not so much prometheon and thulli
There is a bug in the game, relative to Steam Workshop, and some of the mods may not appear in game. Check this thread here with the PDF: https://forums.galciv3.com/491562/galciv-305-bugs It's item 19 on his list. Once you do that, you will be able to use the ships you got on Steam Workshop. Doesn't matter if you play Terran, you can still design your own custom ships. What you can't do
Worse, the review score system had its rules changed such that our best players, who bought Lifetime Founders editions don't even get their votes counted which has a pretty significant affect on our relative review score versus publishers who not only have the ability to mobilize thousands of players to go review never had a Founder's like program.
that's silly... Campaigns do not work on Crusade, yet. Either disable the DLC in your Steam options, or wait until they issue a fix.
Crusade currently has a " mixed " Steam score. As a practical matter, if our player base doesn't like Crusade, then there's not a lot of incentive to dedicate resources to it.
