Are there no game stats given when it is a defeat? I have seen that screen in the dev streams but didn't notice if there were any options. I have never lost like that. It would royaly tick me off to get a sudden defeat screen like that with no indication of how and why.

Your choices look good to me but I can't say on the common inhospitable. I haven't played that setting and I would be concerned that it would eat into the already rare setting for habitables.
You will find the effect of the mfg relic if you hover over manufacturing in the planet management screen. With just the lab you should have a 10% bonus on all planets
I also missed it, works now.
Yes that's what they are :)
Behavior is exactly the same for me
Probably waiting for the final 1.1 release. This test release is a little sketchy.
Its VERY effective. Its hilarious watching me gobble up planets, and putting a defense dome and prep center down in 3 turns, making me impregnable, as I am on all planets. I just popped ENTICING, and I went from 35 to 48 planets! hahaha!
What size map is that? It looks like maybe a medium or large but I am not sure. If smaller maps are the answer, I don't mind giving up on the giant sized when I play
you do it like you did in GC 2 add cheat to the ,exe !
Thanks [e digicons]:S[/e]
This is yet another reason why we need money to actually matter, frankly; if you had to pay attention to your budget AT ALL then at least you'd have something to distract you. But you don't, and so influence games largely just become a matter of sitting hitting 'end turn' til you win.
<span
Are you entering the password revealed in the OP
Quoting dansiegel30, reply 35 Is the debug console locked in the test patch? The ` key is not bringing it up. Yes, the debug console is disable unless you enter /cheat on the command console.
How do you pull up the
How do you append cheat?
Hmmm, I validated and it dl 6 files for me but didn't affect this problem
Obviously we do not want planets to flip in a turn or 2 or have the ZOI expand like water but what we have now is just bad
Exactly!
I can't figure it out. Steam client is running. Short cuts don't work and game overlay is selected. I can upload, but can't download. If significant delay means 2-3 minutes with no screen activity, maybe I need to wait longer :)
Certainly for large maps, and while I haven't tested it, I doubt it is any better on smaller maps. I finally completed an Immense map game where I was determined to win by influence. I finally won the game at T 410. That alone is not the problem. Did I enjoy the game or get any satisfaction out of winning? Hell no. Playing on normal, the game was all but won by T 175-200 when I was up in power 5X over the closest of 7 AI. By the winning turn I was at 50,000 + power
Same here. I can't see how steam cloud would play in but maybe so. I do have it disabled.
Next, you have several other constants in GalCiv3GlobalDefs. 0.03 is I believe the minimum amount of influence required on the tile for it to be displayed as being under your influence. I suspect that this is how the game decides how to round your influence radius. 1.75 is used to determine the radius of each world's influence bubble. The computation is [total influence at planet]^(1 / [influence radius root]), rounded b
Pretty sure you are right about requiring close relations for alliance, but a way to get there is by working up the treaty tree starting with open border. I you are considering an alliance V, you should definitely do open borders asap in the honeymoon era, cause it's hard to work your way back.
Well, I really don't like specializing planets but based on what many here say and even what the devs say, it gives me the impression that it is the best strategy. All of the re-naming planets and deciding what the planets should be doing becomes a huge bother to me as the game wears on. I will probably start playing a more balance strategy. As long as I can win fairly easy on normal, I am fine. I can always move up in difficulty if I want to work a little harder. :) Curiosity abo
This one seems perfect
If I want to mod influence to make it easier or harder to flip planets and/or win an influence victory, what xml files need to be altered? I am pretty sure all the files are in global defs but there a lot of values involved and I am not sure what needs to be changed and whether the values should be moved up or down. Any help will be appreciated.
Yeah, and if they ever get angry with you it is next to impossible to repair
I play with a custom faction, patriotic and ++ content. With a few approval relics, morale is never a problem. I seldom ever build morale improvement. Before I went to patriotic, it was a bear, even with content trait and relics. It was barely manageable by building lots of entertainment on every planet.
