Makes no sense to fault the game for those transparent cheats by the AI. They are added because some players want the AI to have outrageous cheats at the godlike level. Just play on a lesser difficulty. It is not like you are forced to play against those cheats

The most important thing that must be considered when deciding to cut the cord and use a streaming service is the internet download speed in your area. In my location the best non-cable speed available is ATT Uverse at 24 mbps. In other areas Uverse can be as high as 50 mbps. Cable company premium internet service in my area is capped at 50 mbps, but it can vary wildly depending on internet traffic in your neighborhood. In high tech areas of the U.S. cable sometimes offers over 100 mb
The ships should be flipped along with the planet should be an easy fix. :)
I think it is totally ridiculous to include a merc that costs 24 durantium. Regardless of it's power, I would like to see a stat on how often it is purchased.
Wow Canaan is a rare one. Look forward to your future work when you get back to it
Hey Gauntlet, are you still working on this mod? It is good as is but I was hoping you would do a little embellishment. Either way, thanks for what you do. You have been quiet lately and I have missed you.
Delaying shipyard also delays star base which also wastes resources. Also to answer the above question specifically, you do not gain mfg resources by delaying the shipyard

FYI, if you highlight the link and right click "go to" it will take you to the proper link
Who knows what a human life span will be in the distant future. Life extension tech added to the population tech tree would be nice
I understand that game files can't be altered. They are automatically restored when you start the game. You can add to the game files I think, but no alterations
yes, you are definitely on to something. great idea.
I knew it was self repeating but didn't know, and haven't experienced multiple legions per turn
Depending on your preferences, another strategy is to play on a larger map with fewer opponents. This will give you more time to develop your empire. Increase the number of AI as you get better at the game. I like to play on a big map with rare habitable planets. I pick bureaucratic as a trait and I seldom have a problem with admins. If you can get your home planet production up to 100+ in 50-60 turns, you can usually control the game.
Not sure what the problem with links not working. They work if you copy and paste. Fix it stardock guys!!
Also need to know that if you request legion for your colony, the game will send 1 legion every turn until there are none to send. First time I ordered a legion I wound up with all of them on one planet.
On big maps it is usually not that hard to become resource rich. I don't play on small Crusade maps so I wonder if the game is viable with more limited real estate. I like the resource system but I don't like being locked out of one or more of them. There should be more ways to acquire scarce resources
So, If I, (for lack of a better option), place a ship construction improvement next to a Snuggler Colony, it will gain some benefit from the Snugglers?
Can't be that. For instance Snugglers are secondary type military. In fact almost all if not all are secondary military.
If I understand your theory correctly, I would say it is incorrect since some of the awards are triggered properly. Spies, three leaders, etc, works fine. A few don't.
In the xml file what does secondary type mean?
private industry did not give me an entrepreneur.
confirm this
Thanks that confirms what I suspected
Just wondering why some ship classes fail to validate. I suspect it is using parts from a mod, but not sure.
Select the ST faction you downloaded. Click on copy and then edit. Click on appearance and on the lower right is a drop down list of ship style sets. If you have downloaded a star trek ship set from steam it should be in the list. Select it and save the civilization. That should do it.
