Hi guys, I have the following questions, and have noticed the following problems/issues. Game version is latest beta 2.14 opt-in. Questions - What's the difference between a legion and a garrison - both defend against invasion? If so, what's the point of using turns building garrisons? Also - does a general accompany a legion, but is not necessarily present with a garrison? - 85 turns to train a legion from a Mil

In my current 2.14 beta game, the Diplo screen tooltip for the Krynn said "we share a common ally" which is not true - the Krynn were never allied to the Onyx Hive - they were actually at war with them most of the time. I have been allied at times to the Onyx Hive, but me and the Krynn were never both allied to them. So this information is false. In other news: hoping someone at Stardock can review the Diplo screen feedback/flavour texts and the tooltips - there are many spelling and
Latest 2.14 beta opt-in. As the title says; am playing on Easy AI. Was very surprised to see this, and it gave me and the other AI civ no chance for the rest of the game. When I went to bed last night the Krynn were on 200 and something. When loading up this morn, they were on 700 and something. I'm pretty sure I didn't imagine it. Anyone else seen something like this?
Thanks Publius, that's helpful :)
I knew someone would complain about this, as someone above said, easily excitable elements. I'd say grow a thicker skin. After all, no-one (that I've seen so far) seems offended by the term "crusade" for the expansion, right?
Wow, 54 ship production! I can only dream of that. But thanks for the tip. I'm now sponsoring a shipyard with 5 planets and building ships in one dedicated shipyard rather than one shipyard on every planet. Now building an indivdual ship is much faster. There is of course the logical problem that the supplies and manpower etc. needed to build a ship and sent from the sponsoring colonies requires ships to get them to the sponsored shipyard. But the game skirts around this :) &n
Thanks guys.
Really enjoying Crusade (beta v.2.14). But have some concerns about shipbuilding: - Takes too long to build even medium-sized ships? Have for ex. 12.5 in ship construction on one planet but still takes 18 turns to build one medium ship. Will take over a hundred turns to build even a small fleet this way. And I haven't yet seen the AI building any fleets, despite us being well into "The Age of War". - Makes no sense that a medium ship takes longer to build than a giant colony s
Really enjoying Crusade (beta version 2.14). Having some issues with anomalies though: - Have set anomalies to "occasional", yet there are masses of them all over the map - The AI is apparently not taking any anomalies! I am taking them all! - Almost no anomalies are defended (could this be because I have set in-game pirates to zero?) - Wormholes don't appear to exist anymore. All anomalies are of the bonus kinds. Thanks for listening :)
I've noticed that in the diplo screen you are no longer getting "plusses" for having the same ideology as an AI civ. Is this WAD?
Hi Guys, Could someone explain in simple terms how Approval works in Crusade? Also: does a higher population mean lower Approval? At the moment - as far as my limited understanding goes - we are only informed of the current Approval level. We are not informed whether the Approval of a particular colony is due to either rise or fall next turn. Wouldn't it be very ha
Really like the new music that plays mid-game when you're in the Age of War. Very cool. But it does seem to be the only music that plays in that Age, and so gets a bit repetitive after a while, lol. Has anyone else noticed this? Perhaps the devs could vary it a bit using some of the other, existing music? Overall, really enjoying the new expansion, despite its issues and two crashes to desktop (beta patch).
Game has crashed to desktop twice now with this beta opt-in patch (Win 7). I appreciate it's a beta and may be buggy.
Brad! This looks like it's going to be freaking awesome. As you say, like a totally new game, basically. I have just two questions on stuff I'd also like to see in the future: 1) When you're suddenly whisked away to a planet governance screen due to an event and you have no idea/can't remember where this planet is in your empire, will it be possible to see where the planet is on the mini-map? This I think is an essential feature and will save many mouse clicks and different sc
Thanks, got it working now (on my desktop, GC3 still won't work on my laptop!). Just want to say thanks, finding diplomacy more informative and interesting now. Haven't tried the new Alliance mod feature yet but have installed it. Suggestion for diplomacy mod: have the figures totalled at the bottom, allowing the user to quickly see where they stand numerically - in addition to the stated moods - I'm adding up the figures manually at the moment. Just an idea.
Thanks MystikMind. My video card drivers are totally up-to-date. As far as I know I have the latest wireless drivers too. Virtual mem is 2432 MB for all drives (I only have one drive) (Windows 10). I tried clearing the Steam cache and the game seemed to be loading for a number of seconds but then crapped out again. GC3 is working fine on my desktop, just not on this laptop. All my other Steam games are working on this laptop. &nbs
https://www.imageupload.co.uk/image/BZ11 As you can see from the screenie, two of my colony ships were moving across out of range space.
No mods. I would like to use two of your mods - as we discussed in other threads - but the game won't let me get that far!
Out of the blue, the game wont load. The GC3 splash screen shows for 1-2 seconds then disappears. Then nothing happens. It was working fine a few days ago. And was working fine on my desktop last evening. I've been through the relevant items of your Troubleshooting page. I've deleted the game from steam and renamed the GC3 folders. Then reinstalled. No change. All my other steam games are working fine on this machine. Nothing to my knowledge has
Yes, the folder's called "Informative Diplomacy - Cosmetic 1.6-81-1-6" and has "Informative Diplomacy" and "AI Tweaks" subfolders.
Yes, as far as I can see.
I also have this message under diplomacy plusses and minuses from a minor civ. I hope the devs fix this - minor civs shouldn't be looking to conquer major ones?
Hi again, I'm afraid this mod isn't currently working. I have the old plusses and minuses under diplomacy. I enabled mods in the game, restarted GC3 and started a new game. What could be wrong? Thanks.
Thanks!
