No he's talking about "THE ARTIFACT" mega event. and to claim the Artifact... capture the PLANET that is closest to it.
... Wait... You can use the artifact? I thought it only buffed the weakest empire in the game, and nothing else.

I'd like to second this request!
Yeah, I posted this alongside with hive tech not conveying Hive buildings. Can confirm. I was so confused over this when I first saw it :)
FTFY here, along with some other changes: https://forums.galciv3.com/483023/Crusade-213-User-Made-Fix-and-Balance-Changes
Cheers! I'm hoping that a lot of the errors, the likes of which I posted here, get fixed up for thee full release of 2.13.
Pretty sure I ran into a bug where researching Hive tech wouldn't unlock the respective building(s). This is using Time Travelers and warrior traits. Demonstrated here: Link 1. And here: Link 2 Also found an issue where Kimberly's Refuge requires prometheus stone despite the production costs tool tip stating it requires only Monsatium Screenshot here: <a
Hey modders -- I was wondering if any ship modder here know how the AI get those big invasion transports? As far as I can tell with the xml docs, the non- modded factions shipstyles are drawing from the same text as before for transports.
OK. I thought I had something solid, but it turns out I'm still having the same FPS issues with extended play. Feel like a memory leak, even the GalCiv 3 isn't using more than half of my RAM when I play my game.
Have you got an OC on your GPU? Turning mine off seemed to help.
I was wondering, what is the purpose of the compressed objgfxcfg and ship archives among all the other design files?
Hey folks. Is there an easy way to transfer my custom factions to Crusade? Or do I have to recreate them all? Thanks
Do you mean in terms of transferring custom ship sets? I had to modify my xmls, but didn't have to do anything from scratch.
Should just have a way to auto-cycle the current projects.
MERC dlc BROKEN Also the AI doesn't buy any merc since Crusade DLC __________________________________________________________ no pirates And pirates also don't show up in the game anymore, even the messages are coming onscreen, with the above settings.
Could you provide a screens/files for this? I have seen the AI using mercs and plenty of pirates.
regardless they use words join humanity's crusade this implies there is a campaign which breaks the trade and standard laws , which CLEARLY state you can not put an advert or selling pitch which says something or you can do something and when you buy it you can not this is a clear breaking of those laws
Ah, no -- you would have to engage in some serious mental gymnastics to get those words to fit your argument
Found one! Stellar Folding -- I have not unlocked it, and I'm around 15 turns into a game. Here. EDIT* Or, does this have something to do with the time traveler trait? Some of the descriptions aren't as descriptive as I would like.
Can anyone shed light on the xml side of ship designs? I've been asking this question like a pain in the ass for a while now, because I have two xml doc derived from the base game, modified to incorporate my own ship designs so that I could have a ships set listed in game, and have a more seamless experience with my custom faction. I would really like to know, for modding's sake. It has been a big part of my time with GalCiv 3.
Well, there's GOG and I think SD still sell from their own store, so I don't believe Steam is your only option!
Yes, check out the videos. Also, the community can be very helpful -- just say you're a new gamer and have some questions. The game as it currently stands is pretty easy to understand once you understand a few basic concepts and get your head around the initial info overload that every 4x pretty much has. Although the fundamentals are going to change with the release of Crusade soon. Exciting times -- I'll have to relearn the game pretty much over again :) </
Some really good comments in there. I wish that some members of that community took a chill pill with each other, though. Gets in the way of... Talking about games.
I cannot pick any one feature that does it for me -- as whole piece of design, Crusade is taking GalCiv 3 to the next level in a way that I was not expecting. The sheer number of changes and new features is quite staggering, really. I suppose, when I get down to it, the entire redesign of the economy and balance is what I am really looking forward. The game as it currently stands turns into a player fueled snow ball, and decisions gradually have less and less consequence and therefore s
You guys may want to rename you archive. It says SoaSE, but it's GalCiv Crusade.
I'm looking forward to it. The emphasis on scarcity and rescaling the numbers should go some ways in solving the snowball problem... At least on paper. Cannot really say without playing it.
