I always spend a day just trying to align the username in the startpanel perfectly Yeah, horizontally is no problem. Vertically, is impossible. Unless, you adjust the entire user name panel, which can be a real drag.

There are limitations that one just have to design around. It can be tough at times. It seems that you lose the text color change if you use a background in the logon area. The same with the programs area in the start menu. I admit that all these design limitations can be a pain in the arse at times.

You can open any gif file with all the frames visible with Jasc Animation Shop 3. This is part of Paint Shop Pro(I use PSP 7). You can then highlight any frame, right click, and export it back and forth through Paint Shop Pro for editing purposes. Both programs actually link together for this purpose. [Message Edited]

Why don't you take all the unnecessary stuff out of your user name? I think this has been mentioned before but you keep doing it and then complaining about it. Question marks and astericks in a user name may cause trouble for you. No one else seems to have trouble uploading who don't have unneccessary symbols in their name. <img src="http://images.stardock.com/images/smiles/smile.gif" border=0 ALIGN="ab

There are so many different programs and each one has its own file extensions. Most of the generic graphic extensions such as gif and bmp are normally skinned. But, specific program extensions like .psp for Paint Shop Pro, .psd for Photoshop, Adobe CS, Corel, Bryce, etc., may not be skinned. There are just too many of them.

how do you run it Most skins require a program to run them. Windowblind skins require windowblinds. DesktopX themes require DesktopX, etc.etc.. Now, with that said, I've heard that SP2 will change the extension of windowblind skins to zip instead of the wba extension. In that case, you need to change the skin back to the extension it ne

Not much to push when the program can only handle 16 colors. That, and the fact that you only see the screen for 1-2 seconds anyway. I guess I look for graphic quality myself and therefore tend to lean towards programs that actually promote that idea, such as wallpapers, windowblinds and logon studio. To me, 16 color images are a pixelated mess. I guess the probelm is that it will take a lot of programming work to achieve the 256 or full color Bootscreen. And if people are havi

I've heard its real good unless you are older. I've heard that its best to get it done before 40 or 50 yrs old. After that time your site naturally starts to deteriorate. I hope to get it done soon too, before I get too old. Good luck, please keep us informed.

It sounds to me like she installed SP2. Zone Alarm is not a windows update, and I can't imagine Zone Alarm doing all of that. In fact, I know it wouldn't. But, SP2 would do all of that. The same thing happened with a theme from here, and a sent theme It also sounds to me like you have different GUI programs installed on your computer. I sugg
