Application Icons

I'm pretty new to the whole skinning and icon replacement community so please bear with me.

I'm wondering why I don't see icons for applications themselves (not just document types) in the suites avaiable on this site.

For instance, I have just installed one of the Faux-S packages, but I'd really love my Adobe CS programs to show themselves in the same style.

Does this make sense?

Thanks!

There are so many different programs and each one has its own file extensions. Most of the generic graphic extensions such as gif and bmp are normally skinned. But, specific program extensions like .psp for Paint Shop Pro, .psd for Photoshop, Adobe CS, Corel, Bryce, etc., may not be skinned. There are just too many of them.

A good place to look for program icons is in the ObjectDock library. Just take the icons in their png format and import them into Icon Developer. Voila, an icon!

Good idea! There are indeed a lot of nice big app icons there. Thanks!
