I don't know if this information will help, but I'll give it a shot. Your left and right frames extend to the top of the top window frame by the width that they are. The same for the bottom. For a visual example, look at the tutorial here (Part 2-The Frame)http://www.aleksyandr.com/tutorial.htm

Save the objectdock theme and then unload objectdock. Then try to load the walls. Does it work then? I don't believe that ObjectDock as anything to do with your walls not loading, that's strange. I think its more due to windowblinds, not letting you change it if you checked the "apply any wallpaper supplied." Try those two pills and let me know in the morniong if your illness was cured.

It's not DesktopX's fault. It has no idea what is going on with Display property settings, unless your restart it so that it can check. Even windows has a problems with changing resolutions "on the fly" without restarting. Ever notice that your icons don't look quite right when you change your color quality from regular(16 bit) to true color(32 bit) without restarting? Yeah, I had that same problem at one time. Try NightTrain's advice first. I remember that I had developed some sort of corruption in the file itself, and I had to redraw and then reimport my image. I can't remember exactly what went wrong, right now. But, try NightTrain's advice. It should solve most translucency problems.

Try these two threads and call me in the morning if you are still have problems. Also, get rid of that StyleXP is might be conflicting with windowblinds. It hacks your system files and that is not good. You can port any visual style with Skin STudio so you don't need an illegal program hacking your system. Like I said, try these two threads and call me in the morning if your computer is still ill.

I guess by Visual Styles you mean Style XP. It would help to know your system specs. Most likely you probably have an AMD 64 processor with SP2 or you are running both windowblinds and StyleXP and are getting some weird conflicts. There could be other reasons, this is why it is helpful to give system specs when seeking help.
