Greetings again. This post is to ask nicely to our Stardock Devs about Gal Civ III. I have been in Alpha and have logged over 1100 hours in GCIII. I rememeber reading that Frogboy said that Gal Civ III will utilize a thread for each ai in the game and that a system with 20 threads will process the ai 'faster' than a system with 4 threads. Which leads me to this recent article from Tweaktown about intels

Good morning! Here in California we had such rain! Amazing Rain! As such I just sat and listened to the rain on my roof for two days while playing Gal Civ III. My settings: Insane, Abundant Stars, Uncommon hab, rare hab, common nubulea, occasional on all other resources/anomalies. Pirates ~rare, no tech brokeri

Your work is very much appreciated Horemvore! I was playing a bit last night and I think we have too many admins for an insane map but Ill wait till I get deeper in game.

Patch is great, no issues or crashes. On an insane map with abundant planets and 'occasional' resources/relics' we have 80 admin. While my game is new at this point I think that number is too high. Maybe 50 and then add more via the Gov lines. Also as has been noted Research is fast. I have 'normal' research pace but Slow game pace and it feels ok, but some may think its too fast.

Its not a bug. It reports the planets that your scouts last saw. If there is NO ship there (to see & observe it) and it gets colonized then you waited too long. Place a scout at a planet and see how the list will update. If it gets colonized it will come off our list of potential places.

Tilyas, This has been mentioned quite a bit. I think they are making some passes on how fast research is being done and what stacks with what. i also think research is going to slow down drastically with the release of Crusade which has features to tie Research, Economy and admin all together.

The issue Willy is that every 4x game I have ever played benefits from expansion. All of them even GCII. The point is that sure you can have a very strong 'small' empire with say 6 or 12 worlds. ..but..the empire with 40 (like the Drengin or the Yor or the Krynn can get) will simply outpace you in all areas, production, research and influence. <span style="font-size: medium; font-fa

I would like to see a 'sudden' death, or insta win by Ascension. Once you have 8/10ths or 9/10ths or all and you hold them for 10 turns you win (regardless of total). This assumes nobody attacks you and grabs your crystals.

I have played since Alpha and have yet to win a game via Ascension. I usually have conquered the galaxy and it becomes clicking to the next turn and I restart. Insane with occasional relics. the points per turn starts going up higher as you research better constructor modules. I imagine that this type of victory will be very hard to pull off with the upcoming limitation of star bases we will be seeing in April.
