As a side note and the Summer DLC for GCIII, we will have Pirates ARRRGGH, that you can hire via diplomacy to uh, 'convince' others that your way of doing things is the best way! Seriously, having or paying another faction to do 'ill' upon another would be nice. I remember back in GCII I would get a message from the Torians about

Added from the other thread as well from Syrkres: Diplomacy questions? (didn't see a dedicated thread started yet) Alliances? as mentioned would be nice to provide more support? Different types of alliances, trade alliance, military alliance, other? It would be nice to be able to assign minor factions to a default alliance (group), so we can make pseudo sub-nations. This is because when picking races at start of game yo
I am going to start a new thread on Diplomacy so we can keep all the ideas pertaining to it consolidated. Alliances~ we need alliances to work as the player feels they should. I have noticed in games like Distant worlds where we have a protectorate or alliance the 'ai' we are protecting or allied to wil
In the recent article from (A)list about our upcoming expansion, Brad makes a point of mentioning that the engine we have is native 64bit and Direct x 11. This is what I have always wanted and i am very happy about it! <span style="font-family: 'comic sans ms', sans-serif; font-size
Way to Go Stardock. I am gonna hype this up over on Twitter and Facebook and pass it around to my friends there....
Outstanding news! I am eager to hear more. In fact I think I will fire up a new game this weekend and run thru it. I was playing a civ 6 game and I simply cannot dislodge Gandhi from a mountain surrounded city with knights and legionnaires. Those damn elephants are too strong!
Currently, Resistance is used to defend against non physical attacks like information/propaganda. Only 'Defense' which scales with population is used to defend. The basic defense building which i think gives +20% to planetary defense would NOT survive against a transport with a 20% soldiering. This entire system is broken at the moment and the devs know it. As stated in the post the best defense against invasion right now is to kill the transport before it
WoW, can I just use these for my desktop wallpaper? They are very nice!
Ooo will Paul be discussing the 2.0 Update and uh..tidbits of Crusade?
Well one has to admit that even if they just copy and pasted the entire code for GCII into GCIII (espionage) it would still be better than having nothing.
We need a UI tab/marker on the interface like we do for admins that shows how much logistics the empire can currently support. Right now you have no idea what your empires logistics are until you make your first fleet. Personally I think Logistics should also be tied into admins which both dictate the number of starbases you can support. Logistics should also determine how far your can set said starbases but that is just my opinion.
Once you bring your economy back to zero or positive you will need to go into global settings and pull your 'wheel' pointer BACK to the Center. I know because I had the exact same thing happen to me and it was never reset to zero or 33.3 as it should have been. The entire system you are playing on right now will be scrapped in favor of a new system that uses citizens to manage 'specialized planetary' production or research or economy. <p
[quote who="Old-Spider" reply="26" id="3665587"] I think the new invasion system will cause a lot of problems. I mean problems like this: I want to invade a planet. Is it defended or not? Who do I send - soldiers, regular citizens or specialist citizens? How many? If it's not defended, it doesn't matter. If it is defended and I don't send enough invaders and lose, all will be killed, and I just wasted my efforts and people.
Willy, The Expansion 'Crusade' is what we are getting. It WAS going to be an expand-alone. Now it is a DLC handled as an expansion. Per Frogboy>>>> <div cl
The GCII system (of Espionage) was good and I suspect this is the same type of interaction but better implemented. More importantly I would like visibility to what the ai factions is going via espionage which we did get in GCII. Things like buildings being built or what the current research is (which is extremely helpful).
I am ecstatic...... WoW!!
This was exactly what I was looking for. Thank you!
You get admins back if your SB is destroyed or decommissioned.
I load all my primary games onto the SSD along with Windows. Generally this will make all operations snappier. Some games have 'zones' that you load from one location to another for example the original Half Life or Everquest. Both games would benefit far more from being on an SSD. I would still advocate for one. I personally will get a new M.2 on my next build as its far faster then some SSDs.
The game loads faster on an SSD. Your main bottleneck was the onboard video. Now you have a dedicated video in that laptop and its got 6 gigs of ram you should be playing on Insane maps with 50 ai. Game looks beautiful at high rez so enjoy!
I want to say Thank you Stardock. You make excellent games and your team is the best in the industry. Once again thank you all for your hard work! [e digicons]
Excellent. Thanks Spider. i will install and run it tonight. I like they cut down on Admins but perhaps 40-50 is about right (down from 90 originally on Insane maps). I will play the game first with the fewer admins first to see how it affects my game-play. If I know EVERY constructor counts I am more likely to use them where I must have them. I run a custom race that exploits the research bonus to relics and those actually get my build priority first.
I have to agree with Avatar. When I click on my shortcut on my desktop it then loads and I get the launcher window and have to click play again. Its not a big deal its simply just a small annoyance ..way down on the list of things to worry about.
Oooo SQUIRREL!! (as heard by the dog from the movie UP)
Oooo yes!
