I would very much like to see a good espionage system added, to gain insights into an enemies strengths and weaknesses.
Okay I'll give it a go. As far as Backgrounds download any background/wallpaper png file that is 1920x1080 and place into folder C:\Users\[Your Computers name]\My Documents\My Games\GalCiv3\Factions\LeaderBGs Foreground pictures works best by cutting out anything else associated with the picture other than the image of the leader itself. One can use many programs to do this one is Adobe Photosho
I disagree, giving some little thing as a thank you to founders just shows thanks to the people that backed the game early.
awesome! Cool SD logo in the beginning too!
Best first post ever?
Quoting charon2112, reply 8 You don't know. That's the perils of combat, if you knew in advance exactly what to build, every battle would be too easy. If true, that means fleet composition is not a strategic aspect of the game.
Yes, this is what I was getting at. So assuming ship role makes a difference, how could you have known prior to the battle what fleet composition you would need?
You don't know. That's the perils of combat, if you knew in advance exactly what to build, every battle would be too easy.
I could go on for hours on all the things we want to add into the game over the next few years.
Yes please.
I'm 100 turns into my current game with an immense galaxy and have yet to meet any major or minor races. And I put them all in the game in the set up screen. (I like being able to do this though) We need the steam workshop to allow people to build custom races that we can download.
Although it would be cool if just founders got these, and not weekend purchasers. Still awesome though!
How do I see what my current opt-in version is? Mine just shows .97
very cool. [e digicons][/e]
thanks! No plans for an official one though?
Will there be an official GCIII soundtrack? I downloaded the available mp3's from the founders vault and made a little playlist that I (pathetically) play over and over at work. But I would love to see an official soundtrack available for download. Thanks!
Ahh, the dreaded social media. Tis a plague upon the universe.
Truth.
I'm 100 turns or so into my current game and I can't remember what map size I chose, is there a way to see my current game galaxy settings?
Look on the bright side they intend to carry on developing the game further after release so it's not really over.
hell yeah.. Release is only the beginning.
I'd love a collapsible 'tree' system like in sins of a solar empire for managing ships, starbases, colonies, etc.
1. First, Larsenex's way of playing a very big galaxy but with rare habitable planets (I am thinking, sort of like how the Milky Way actually is, likely) is a very interesting idea and one that gives a huge difference in "feel" as compared to abundant, etc.
This is how I usually play too.
There should be a colony management tool like there was in GC2. You could almost play the whole game from that one screen.
After looking at the beautiful manual and guides for Fallen Enchantress here: https://forums.elementalgame.com/436200/page/2/#3282685 ...it really whet my appetite for GCIII materials. Is this coming?
I really wish SD would do another 'GalCivIII Economy 101" article, since it's changed so much. Or how about the full manual? I hope that's coming.
I can certainly press G to turn them off, but as I said, I usually like playing with them on. But they're so bright, I can barely what's going on on the main map. Opacity sliders would be great. There's actually many options that were in GCII that have yet to find their way into GCIII.
