Thanks Adam, that helps a lot.

Hello, is there a very detailed explanation of the math involved in the economy of Galciv3? I see a ton of numbers, but have no idea exactly how these numbers are generated. There seems to be civ wide numbers, and also planet specific numbers. I really want o understand how everything is calculated, production, social construction, research, administration, money, everything. I'm not having any luck finding this info online. <p
Becoming a founder was my best purchase ever.
I like what I'm seeing. Founder beta?
They shouldn't have ships like that that early, unless they hired one of the more powerful mercenaries and it was just one ship?

Also really enjoyed watching the YouTube video today. I miss these. Twitch is okay but I'm never available to watch them. Haven't been too many YouTube videos of late but I suppose everyone at Stardock has been busy designing, iterating, and crea
Crusade was meant to be a stand-alone after all, so hard to say.
I don't think Crusade is a stand-alone, I believe it's DLC for the main game.

There's a lot of flavor stuff missing from Diplomacy. For instance, every race I meet says the exact same greeting phrase about it being their duty to wipe me from the galaxy, but thanks for the hyperdrive. This kills immersion. It can't be that hard to sit someone down and come up with 50 or 100 phrases that randomly occur as a greeting, based on their ideology. Also, from GCII, I miss the other races warning me about so and so getting too big and powerful. Also miss
I would love to GalCiv to take some inspiration from Sins of Solar Empire with its pirate mechanic. Whether or not it works out well is another question, but would be cool if you could hire pirates to harass targets.
I for one, despise the pirates in sins. Day one I turned them off and have never looked back. I would like to see pirate inspiration from Distant Worlds though.
Why is it that almost always when I try to bribe a civ to declare war on another civ, it's grayed-out and says 'need a valid third party'...? I've uncovered about 15 civs in my current game and every one of them is like this when I talk to them.
In GCII you could use the mouse wheel to zoom in and out of the tech tree. I used it constantly.
I think it would be cool to occasionally get "quests" (for lack of a better word) from friendly civs. Something like: -help us survey so and so black hole, or star that strange energy is emanating from. -professor weirdo on planet x is building an energy collecting, people killing super weapon. Please go try and negotiate or destroy said machine. stuff like that.
I 100% agree.
Any particular reason why medium and large ships are about the same size in the battle viewer? I'd expect large to be at least twice as long as medium.

I guess it depends on the story...if they're resisting against something, then resistance is appropriate. Like rebellion.
I was wondering if alliances will be improved in Crusade. As they're currently implemented, they're pretty terrible, and as a usually Terran player, they're very important. Alliances need a couple of key improvements: 1. If I'm in an alliance with several strong races, this should give much pause to any race that is thinking about declaring war on me. There should be a huge diplomatic 'plus' that says "you have strong allies!" and have the number of pluses be d

The citizen system seems really cool. I like the named leaders.
I'm in a similar situation, laptop with 256gb SSD and a 1tb storage drive. I have most games installed in the storage drive and I've noticed no real problems.
I feel like I have to post this due to your thread title.
2. I would find it very nice if ships in nebulae could not be so easily spotted by sensors than when in free space. That would make it possible to lay ambushes in nebulae. It would also be nice if you could not only set nebula frequency, but also nebula size in the galaxy setup window.
I like this.
