Anyone else generally bothered by sound effects that seem to universally exist in space games? - as space is a vacuum, it's not possible to hear sound waves. I can't think of a space game that has managed this well - usually there's lots of "pew pew, whoosh whoosh, bang boom" type sounds. Understandably so, playing a game that's completely silent is fairly mundane, and finding a realistic medium might be difficult
Point of view doesn't matter. Evil is evil. A race enslaving others is evil, even if it isn't evil from the POV of the enslavers. Hitler can love his dogs all he wants, he still murdered six million people.
In GCII there were only 5 “styles”, that were used to build all 12 major races, pirates, minors etc. In GCIII each Major Race will have its own unique style. Which will consist of many parts, 50 or so. Depending on style. (Not including functional components, weapons, dives, and such.) These parts will be used by use to create each race's, hulls and template ships. Designers will have access to all that styles parts, plus so
My experience with Steam has been very positive. When I first heard about Steam before HL2 came out, I was vehemently against it. That changed quick once I starting using it. It's simply, unbelievably convenient to have all of my games in one neat list that auto updates. I will only buy a game (if possible) if I can add it to my steam library. I had problems with two games not running right (bioshock 1 and geometry wars) but that was just a small con drop in
Hey, if I make a thread called "I like balloons" but the thread was about turnips, I wouldn't be surprised if someone mentioned balloons.

Really all I care about is sandbox mode. I've never played any of the campaigns. Regardless of story events in the campaigns, I would hope that all races are represented in sandbox mode.
The Korx civilization got wiped out in DA. Only a few members managed to survive. I find it highly unlikely that they will return as race (major or minor).
Then why are they in ToA?
I'm not happy to hear that any of the races are gone. I hoped for all the original ones, plus more.

It's probably going to be a combination of both, and this thread will be 200 pages of wasted debate.

I wouldn't be opposed to more fleet level options regarding stance, etc...as long as they are set before combat begins.
I wasn't going to weigh in on this, because I feel rather neutral about it, but, lets face it: 1) GalCiv is a strategy game. So is Moo2. The tactical combat is only a feature, not the end all of either game. GC2 had tactical combat, although it was more of an illusion because it was always more of an auto-resolve, perhaps one could say a pseudo-auto-resolve. 2) A master strategy plan has to include tactical acti
