I don't mind them improving a system that's not broken. That was never a problem Xeno ethics. What was the problem here they never fixed. The problem is that all the choices on the random events favored evil. They improved, but forgot to fix the system. If they don't address the problem then th
The widely accepted reference for Intel CPU core temp is the software called RealTemp , this is what most overclockers will use. For GPU, I use GPU_Z and ASUS GPU tweak. I flashed the bios in my graphic card in a very aggressive manner XD. I removed almost all automatic throttling by power usage features, which results in the card running significantly faster in average. The temps are still verey good though, thanks to having an Asus DIRECTCU II cooler on the thing.

Most CPUs and GPUs made these days are built to automatically decrease their clock speed if they get hot to prevent them from burning up.
True, Chips throttle down on temperature threshold. They have been doing that for a while. That is why overclocker
Now, here is the discussion topic: The current plan is that the the production wheel sets the civilization default with the ability of players to override it on a planet by planet basis. This allows players who want to micro-manage their planets to do so without forcing them to do so if they don't want to. The question is: What level of per planet tinkering do you think the game should have and why? As a reminder, please read this: https://forum

The fact that OP classified GalCiv as RTS really hurts my soul, not sure to take seriously now. @Admiral, nice long winded list of stuff but those are not what I think OP had in mind about game mechanics. "Complexity" and "Pirates" are not game mechanics, they are characteristics, features or themes. Then again simply saying you like pirates with no details or examples of how pirates are implemented brilliantly in a game is not very useful. Here is a mechanic I

I am not too bothered by point no.2. This fits the GalCiv wacky atmosphere. But otherwise I agree that Good was lackluster. I pretty much always play Evil. I once decided to play a game 100% good and it was to add difficulty lol.

Maybe I'm not understanding "more specific", but it looks like the idea is to get away from "good," "neutral," and "evil" in a substantial way, which will not be achieved with changes to diction alone. I'm not trying to be critical, but right now, in my opinion
One of the problems (or challenges) with good and evil is that, (with the exception of the few psychopaths among us), people generally treat one another in a civil manner. The evil comes when an association of people adopt a group identity. The group identity enables many people to create an 'us' and 'them' mentality. The 'them' are less human then the 'us' folks. Perhaps it even becomes an 'us' ver
