You guys should post screenshots of your wonderful Alpha issues.

Works fine here, I just get sent back to the main menu upon crushing the last enemy planet. StarDock really ought to put up a template for reporting bugs. Naked information like that probably wont be very useful without your detailed system specs and possibly your save game and other game generated data files. During the FA beta they had such a template, so I find it weird we dont have one now.
I have this on a few of my planets.
Still, if the concern is that people will buy elite founder edition and complain about having paid that much for an unfinished or broken game, those same people could write reviews.
They could, but hopefully I doubt there will be many. Most people will think thrice before buying a 100$ game preorder, for this reason I think pretty much only the true hardcore fans will buy it. All the others will whine about it in forums but ultimately their powers will be l
Two things: 1. Why has this thread been hi-jacked by Pcreator troubleshooting? 2. OP, please try to organize your writing in categories and paragraphs, that was a pretty painful read.
Good idea about hiding units, I like it! Could allow some sneaky tricks in MP. Could be countered by a special scanner module that you need to research.
I would think the larger concern is not with the small group of loud complainers that don't understand the concept of testing. I think the concern would be that it could have a negative impact on future potential buyers. I don't know anything about how Steam forums are managed, what gets carried over, and what controls you have over what reviews are visible or remain after the game moves out of "early access".
Quoting EvilMaxWar, reply 18 Quoting AgaresOaks, reply 17 So there's pretty much no reason to play unranked other than to protect your precious ladder points... which you don't have. Why unranked even exists when it simply causes headaches like this, I can't be sure of other than to assume Blizzard has been completely unable to comprehend the basics of good online play in recent years.
EDIT: And OF COURSE I put this in the wrong forum.
n00b :D
lol Anyways: My invasion fleet reached Drengi, where I had just cleared out the defenders, both around it and orbiting it. My fleet of transports (two of them) refused to go to the planet's tile, with no "X" symbol signifying they were en-route. I double-checked that there were no defenders, there weren't. Perhaps
n00b Nah just kidding. In the top bar menu under "game", click " Activate product on Steam " then copy you code here. :)
Hellll no. I am all for supporting a developing game, but thats outrageous. I dont care how much free content you will give me, thats a not to my wallet I cant do. I have been waiting for this game for a long time now so I am extremely disappointed. Can you please give us a more reasonable price option? I'll buy it in a heartbeat (I'd have bought it already if it wasnt so insanely expensive). Long-time loyal fan [/q
MaxWar's list of annoyances ( Alpha 0.0.2.0) The Game is very nice already but as I play, I like to write down all the annoyances I find on a piece of paper. I understand this is Alpha and that most of those annoyances are probably known and planned to be fixed but I will list all I have found anyway. Will also keep this updated as I find new
The current color code is pretty much the same as GalCiv 2, in fact imho, it should be left as it was in GalCiv 2, it was perfect. White : Treasury in the positive no deficit: ( Used to be Green In GalCiv II ) Yellow: Tresury in the positive with deficit Orange: Treasury in the negative with no deficit. ( orange is missing in GalCiv III now ) Red : Treasury in the negative With deficit The claim that White and yellow might be hard to tell apart on
This was predictible, idiots going batshit in the community hub. The good news is that for 100$ they will not buy it hence they will be denied leaving a "This game is garbage" in the Steam user review section. Stardock made a good decision by not including the regular ( cheap ) founder edition on Steam. HAd it been the case we would probably already be having the first " Don't buy this piece of garbage" reviews coming in by now.
Many of your suggestions are rather subjective so I would not quite say that they "Need to be corrected". This is debatable. For instance I like the look of the fat autopilot ship lanes. I do not see how they interfere with gameplay either. They seem in the way to you, But in the way of what? I have not noticed that they are in the way of anything. If they were smaller they would get too small when zooming far out. Some interesting points in here though. I am unsure how
problem Is I do not think the devs have much choice. I am not sure what steam policy is but I guess that once a game uses SteamWorks for DRM and distribution it is obligated to be available for Sale through Steam. That it be an ALPHA matters not.
StarDock stated win 7 as minimum requirement, sad that it does not work for you guys. StarDock seems very stiff on the minimum OS requirements but I assume they have valid technical reasons.
I fully agree with OP, I said so myself once or twice on this forum that putting Alpha and Betas on STEAM is very dangerous. Hopefully the 99$ tag will turn aways all the tards but I still find it risky.
Good feedback method, this an efficient way of providing feedback. I have my own similar list in the making, though I am more focused on annoyances at this point. Will post later today.
Runs great so far, graphically wise, On my single asus GTX 660 OC. Everything is butter smooth, but the real test will be when there is a lot going on.
Starting the download. It feels special being there on day 1 of a game I waited for so long.
As long as they don't mess up our beloved Gal Civ series and get us that download up and running ASAP they will keep me relatively happy with them lol
If the alpha release date had been april 1st, I would be worried by now.
Its a shame I just sold My old First Generation Core 2 quad. Would be curious to see how well it ran on it.
My bodily fluids! I DIDN'T KNOW THERE WERE THAT MANY!

Mue’s mission had predictable results. While her entourage was undoubtedly delicious, Mue herself was served as the highest honor a Drengin warlord could receive from Lord Kona. That makes me cringe. There is now a sick puking feeling in my gut now.
What's the problem, are you vegetarian?
