I had already read all the reviews and stuff a couple weeks ago when someone mentioned the game. I had almost bought it at full price then but held back on the premise that I have already tons of games to play. But seeing it at 75% was impossible to resist. I just love 4x games.

Looks great man. I like the premise of the "Easy to get into complex game". I will have to try it. I read the About Us section on your website. Props for having the guts to go all in with that project. I found that part really funny:
While evaluating Unity3d, version 4.0, he accidentally made a playable tech demo, with a space ship that could be manually piloted around a basic solar system. Alarmed at this development, the same individual began two

Same here about bugs and CTD, not many of them so far. Game runs very well for an alpha. I had the Cannot colonize glitch, but it is understood and gonna be fixed in the patch. Beside this only a single CTD in a multiplayer game.

I think it's because the Thalan evolved from a Race whose arm pit smell was so bad that they were forced to keep their arms up at all time in order to keep the place dry and prevent the horrible smell. After a few million years of keeping their arms up in the air, it became their natural position and the dreaded armpits disappeared.

All those bug reports and endless feedback posts can become a bit depressing eventually. So I thought I would make a thread dedicated to things I liked in the Game so far. [e digicons][/e] There are many things I like about the Game but listed here are mostly things that sort of took me by surprise. 1. The game loads very fast! </st

I expect they will be back eventually. Just about any 4x in the last 15 years at least have those kind of notifications.

Awesome, the Altarian can cast lightning bolts to supplement their Disintegration rifles! [e digicons][/e] Oh wait, the Disintegration rifles are an evil weapon. The Altarian would not use that.

What happens with the asteroid resources linked to them? Do they get shipped back to the planets or are they lost? If they are returned to the planets, then to which one? All of them? The closest one only? With a range penalty or not? If there is no range penalty, using a dummy Shipyard as an
Quoting chuck1es, reply 36 Also, I'm assuming we'll be mining asteroids; so with that in mind will we be able to directly have those resources sent to shipyards instead of planets? Particularly if we have a shipyard way off in the beyond somewhere? Being able to mind nearby asteroids within a certain distance (in relation to the shipyard) would bring another strategic element. that is a good question! I suspect

I think StarBase capture is a bit over the top as far as gameplay is concerned. I vote for simply destroy like in GalCiv 2.
In Gal Civ II, if a planet didn't have a starport, you immediately were wasting whatever % of production you have assigned to military production. Kaput, gone, no more. This, effectively, requires you to build a starport on every single planet, if you wanted to maintain as much production efficiency as possible.
