What happened that the stream is only 18 minutes or will the you tube version be longer?
We will be balancing tile counts as we move forward. We want there to be planets that you feel are not worth getting, it gives you choices, which is good. That 4 tile planet might be the difference between winning an losing in the long run. In addition you can transform up even crappy planets to pretty high quality. I think you can get mars up to a 16 in the currant build.
How do you get Mars to a class 16 planet?? &nbs
54 hours, but someone has played 195 hours...
Yes, I like the tech ages...
Hello. I found 2 problems with shipyard functionality: 1. The cost of ship if you choose 'buy /' 'quick build' is not lowering progresively after each turn; 2. I buy a ship and the shipyard gets destroyed after I press turn without me getting the ship.... and money is also lost; I remeber the galciv II din not work like this; Also, 3. The minimap does
I like the idea as well, however, this would become more challenging for customer races. I still suggest the following for custom races to make them feel more unique... 1. Give one a certain number of habitation points for a star system (example 16) 2. Allow one to pick number of planets in the system. 3. Allow one to pick how to use the habitation points toward planets in that system. (see following examples) a
Where is the video lol :) I want the dev stream lol

Never got into it much as one can cheat very, very easily via modding. This is why I stopped modding with C&C Red Alert back in the day via the ini & map files... lol With that being said this is why I mainly play the base games and I expect many features in the base games to offset certain checks and balances to prevent one from going crazy. I therefore to this day still only play Metaverse games in Galactic Civilizations II, however, I haven't fi
First off I'm really looking forward to larger maps, however, I have the following concerns... 1. Star density, so far this doesn't appear to be much of an issue, I compared the average distance between stars in Galactic Civilizations II (somewhere between 10-15 tiles) and the average distance between stars in Galactic Civilizations III (somewhere between 10-15 tiles) and if anything there are more stars per tiles in Galactic Civilizations III compared to Galactic

Will there eventually be an option to speed up or slow technology progression? Similar to Galciv II although I would like to be able to slow it down to almost a crawl on super large galaxies. There are a lot of astroids in the game currently even when they are set to rare. I know a few weeks back you stated that no plans for right now to have anything else usefull in astroids other than the resources. Is there a possibility of them being mined to increase pr
The last two days I played a game of the opt-in to beta 1 in a large galaxy setting and want to share some observations. Bug 1: Shipyard crash In mid game, having 20-30 planets, I could not add sponsors to shipyards any more - the game would crash every single time for any shipyard I went to and clicked "add sponsor" in the lower left scr
Is it worth checking this anymore? There hasn't been any new information since 6/11/14. I understand we have access to the Beta currently but here are a few things that might be nice... 1. Pictures of the other races ect... Thalan, Yor ect... 2. Ship art for other races 3. Pictures of minor races 4. Image of the game with 100 races.... Brad hinted at testing in one post... 5. Current feedback

As well as Ryats, but not Larsenex or Seilore. And I do believe they are still recovering from the Monday forum boom.
I want to go there too... might be a cache isse as I can see parrotmath's & Larsenex's but no one elses.
The thing is even if Stardock did lower the price originally for the Founder Elite to $49.99 and and not include all the extras, just gave them Alpha access, those same whiners about the price would change to the whining about I paid $49.99 for an unfinished game... rip off... You can't please or reason with them so don't try.
#18 not a bug. The move-ship-onto-starbase idiom is overloaded, and has 2 meanings: join starbase's defensive fleet(s) add to starbase's construction points there should be a 3rd idiom here: ram enemy starbase ... like Battlestar Pegasus ... darn If your ship is a constructor, and it would keep that starbase's "modules unspa

lol DARCA, here are a few more... 27. Bug... After invading a planet and upgrading existing buildings it states the Xeno Medical is 4294967295 turns. 28. Bug...
The tech is Terraforming which you get after Soil and habitat techs to buy the super project "Orbital Terraformer" which instantly turns all red terraforming squares green saving you the wait in the construction queue. 24. Bug... Invasion bug, unable to invade planet, very similar to the colonization bug where the game will not let you go to the planet. 25. Bug... Singularity Drivers show that they are not in Alpha, this is Beta... 26. Bug... Can't destroy ships that belong to a Race that controls no planets.
22. Bug... Why would I want my shields to cost 20% more? I believe this is suppose to read -20% cost not +20% correct me if I'm wrong? Shouldn't the technology be labeled as High Cost Shield Generator? 23. Bug... Master Shield Assembly States shield cost +25%, same as the above, why would I want to pay
