I'm not sure what Stardock considers to be "DLC", but in the Store, the $100 preoder gives access to all DLC and Expansions. I take that to mean that all future expansions are included. The expansions are my main reason for going with the more expensive option. Getting to name a star is kinda cool too, but that wouldn't have tipped the scales for me.
Sorry I missed that thanks MottiKhan for po
"Pay to win" can't really happen in a strategy game akin to Civ or GalCiv. I mean; you pay to get GAME FEATURES (new civs, etc..), but these features shouldn't be included in a multiplayer game with other playesr not having these features...
however, other games and game companies, don't prevent this from effecting the game. They allow users to have these features anytime they play the game.
Okay I admit I did not read all the previous replies to this topic... With that being said turn based multiplayer does work, here's why... - put a time limit on each players turn, so one player can't spend all day holding up the game. - allow you to make non-turn specific changes prior to your turn, while your waiting that will take effect your next turn, example change tax rate, select buildings being built, ships being built, ect... - disable ship des
Some of you I think misread my post, I was saying they averted the option to pay to win, they did this by offering the game upfront as a complete game. Now the second question I posted had to do with expansion packs (a new twist to the game) not DLC's (extra features to game). To me they are two different things. DLC's tend to give the end user an advantage against other players, and with multiplayer option, even in a strategy game could give an adva
I want to come out and say thanks to Stardock for realizing this should not be an option. So I like to thank you for giving people the ability to purchase the "Full" game with all content up front with all DLC's. This makes it feel that you as a company care about your fans and not out to just take our money, even though you need to be profitable :) . One question, I'm assuming there will be expansions and I'm assuming that being a Founder does not give you acc
-Have the ability for a minor race to become a major race, obviously handicapped already but some of these in the earlier versions of Galciv II you would find them colonizing planets (may have been a beta of some sort) I always found this feasible.
I don't understand his comment of a flat galaxy, just because spiral galaxies are disc shaped, doesn't mean flat, thanks tjashen for pointing out the obvious, also spiral galaxies aren't the only type of galaxy out there. I wasn't thinking it was possible to create a working 3D space environment but, if they could create a working model that was easily managed it would be more realistic and add extra challenge to the game play environment. The only way I could se
Question for you, Will this game have a 2 dimensional map or a 3 dimensional map? Thank you
