Interface Sounds. Specifically the unit selection sound. I reported it earlier. I dropped the sound from 100 to 25 percent and it didn't make a difference. I haven't actually gotten into combat yet so I don't know about battle viewer. It might be coming from my subwoofer. I didn't spend to much of my play time troubleshooting it but I can verify it tonight. I generally have my sub at about 50% power.

I haven't played the beta in a while because it's been busy at my job. But I had a free weekend. I loaded Beta 4 on steam and noticed the unit selection sound is very loud. I never suffered from sound sensitivity but after playing a few hours I had to put the game down because I was trying to prepare myself for that whomp sound whenever I clicked on a unit. Even I turn my sound down to 25% it's still very loud. I'm not an audio person but it might be hitting the subwoofer a bi
This a game mechanic that always sort of eluded me.. I get moving people around to improve another colony, or because that one has too much population pressure and is unhappy... but when I am playing the galactic malevolent turd, I always think to myself "who cares! I will eat your babies if you are non-compliant!"
For maximum population growth you need to spread out your population. It's been years since I played

An idea on the ship trading item. Lets say the enemy wants your Face Smasher Mk II ships. They put an order for 10 of them. The game would then create a special object that can be queued at a ship yard for an order of ships. You can then set your shipyards to build this special object that has a production cost of 10 * Face Smasher Mk II production cost. So Ship Cost = 100 Quantity = 10 Total = 1000 Production to complete. On completion you get the prev

Sorry Stardock I'm going to punch your baby in the face here for a bit. I was one of the earliest adopters of this game. I'll have to be honest I'm not enjoying it that much so far. I find it difficult to get some time into the game with my busy schedule. Then I play a 100 or so ish turns then I put it down. So I thought I'd explore a bit more to why. Diplomancy feels very, shall we say Stardock-ish. It's there, it kinda works, but it's the

SW:TOR was fun when I played it. I have not yet gone back since it became free to play. The leveling campaign was a blast and reminded me of KOTOR and other Bioware games. The PVP battle grounds were fun, the first few times. The crafting and gameplay elements were good. My only complaints were really that it was yet another MMO and the end game wasn't really fleshed out. It was another sub fee, which I know is fixed. Lastly, it felt too much like WoW : Burnin

Greetings! Today I would like to ask you guys some questions about strategy games. 1. What specific features of diplomacy do you traditionally like the most? I want you to be as specific as you can be. Which parts of diplomacy from any game do you like the most? What parts do you remember long after playing the most? - I like Elemental : Legendary Heroes research trading system verses the common tech trading systems that other games have. - Don&#39

Been fairly busy in my world so I haven't had too much time to dig into this. I'll have to say it's looking pretty good and I like the musical score for the humans. Even though it's still early so far things are looking good. Anyways, I downloaded the 0.42 BETA today. This might have been reported. It's late and I had some trouble getting into the website earlier. - Below the main slider of the planet

I'm too used to having arrows to move items up or down the queue, so it took me a while to notice it, but drag-and-drop does work.
Ok, well it worked. I don't know why it didn't work before.
Just an alpha place-holder to make sure you can get the points to trigger ideology.
This is based on how I felt about a similar system in GalCiv2. In GalCiv2, the malice response gave the biggest bonus, the good response gave no bonus, and the neutral response gave a mixed bonus. So, I'm asking for improvements on this.
No idea about the Madden reference but absolutely agree about this idea/option, i am getting tired of having to name my planets with same names each game so I know what they do, especially now there will be some new cool star names (& I'll only have to change the "few" silly ones).
Madden is a commentator for American Football that tends to draw pictures on the screen to explain strategy and tactics to the audience. [0.0.2.0] Test Date: 4-15-2014 Galaxy Size: Tiny Duration: 2 hours New Game Race: Terran Galaxy Size: Tiny I'm starting to realize that there might not be enough races to choose from. I've been playing 8 player maps in Civilization and I've grown accustomed to the large number of choices. I don't expect 30 races from the outset of the game, but 8 would be a nice happy number.

So far, so good. GalCiv is very playable for an alpha. It's fun going through all the coming soon features. I love the economic tab. I think this feature may start appearing more in other games. It's very well done and makes tuning your economy very easy. The ship movements are very fluid. I was also happy to see some of the user convenience features such as after clicking new turn if any units are now idle with movement points you have an option of moving them before th

Eh, I can't help you there. No kids and wife is a fellow gamer. I would say I'm more demanding then she is. Although, I'm going back to school and working. Basically, I've always played about an hour after people have gone to sleep. Generally, enough time to get a few turns in.

Well they aren't generally complete because there is a 48 hour time limit and it is non competitive. Basically you have enough time to prototype an idea. Sadly no one from our location made a board game. Last year we had many submissions.

I bought GalCiv2 in 2006 after when I was looking for a new strategy game. I knew about GalCiv2 before that, but when I was at Target I looked at the box and dismissed it as a cheap MOO2 knockoff from the box. Eventually I bought the game for lack of anything else to play and because I had heard the AI was pretty good. I loved it. Kinda wished I started playing sooner. Well it was a love hate relationship early though. Initially I loved the mechanics, hated the research tree, lo
