First ship. Oberth from Wrath of Kahn?!? I don't know why I like this ugly ship. This is my Star Trek inspired Colony Ship My wife thinks it looks like a pizza cutter. <img src="http://i1068.photobucket.com/albums/u450/Il

I agree. I've been trying to use Rally points but that is still pretty tedious.
Do people really just click the first option on the screen without looking and end up having accidental wars?
Yes, because almost every game has the first option take you to the trade option. Also, in most UI designs the first option is always positive the last option is always negative.
Just be careful with overflow. Depending on the data size you may wind up with negative points (or 0) depending on the variable they use type to handle overflow. Through normal play you are probably fine but there is always a player that that manages to pull it off.
As the title says, the war option should not be the first in the list. That should take you to the trade screen. I keep tripping over this every time I try diplomancy.
Here is a link to the zip file in my drop box. https://www.dropbox.com/s/pc7ep2w5t6345xd/20150416_battle%20viewer%20does%20not%20start%20%282%29.zip?dl=0 Steps to Reproduce 1. Complete this turn without changing the orders of T.A.S. Survey-1. 2. After clicking End Turn the remaining moves of this ship be used to land on an a ship graveyard with pirates. 3. I cast Mark of the Sovereign before entering combat. As soon as the battle starts all Drengin ships exploded. There are these green particles coming from their ships and it appears the Torian crew have deserted their slave masters ships. Nice touch, but way overpowered. Please balance this. Also the music makes me cry and hurts my ears. Fix it or I say goodbye to this game. Video http://bit.ly/IqT6zt Debug.Err

Star Control is a game where "silly cows" "dance" with the Orz "in between".
Do you have the formula? I took a break from the beta for a while I noticed that as well. I thought I missed a faction ability in the latest game I've been playing. Thats part of the additionalRawPoints part of the equation that I haven't been able to nail down where it was coming from.
Do a search for the thread Economy 101 Basically (Population + additionalRawPoints) * allocationBonusPercentage * (1 + bonusPercentage)
You might have hit the cap and it wrapped to the lowest value.
They could also implement a minimum number of turns (10 or 20) where the race will be unable to ask for peace again.
Oh thanks for the archive link. That actually helps a lot. I think the terminology was lost when I was writing the post. Playlists would be great because I watch the videos while I'm jogging on the treadmill and trying to filter using the ipad app is annoying.
This would be lovely. In addition, when I delete (or hide) a design with the delete button the "cursor" should be over the next design in the list or the previous design if at the end of the list. Currently the cursor is over new design making deleting multiple designs unwieldy. I would also like to shift click to remove multiple designs. My OCD would love you for this.
I'm pretty sure there is a marketing intern or someone floating around that can make a pass on the Stardock Youtube channel. It's getting a bit difficult to go through all the dev streams for various titles. Please organize the videos by game title and / or Beta version number :D. Thank you.
I accidentally built a starbase with a Military Ring instead of a Mining Ring. I had 3 tiny fighters and a small missile frigate defending the starbase. When I destroyed the starbase I lost the defending fleet as well. If this is intentional the popup box should read "Are you sure you want to decommission this starbase and it's defending fleet?" instead of "Are you sure you want to decommission this starbase?".

The choice of Atmospheric cleansing eventually can be researched from the tech menu but it is not clear what finally frees up this tech to be researched.
Check your era. There isn't yet a warning to tell you the tech you are selecting is un-re
Laser's can miss. They fire in a straight line but if you are not pointed correctly they will miss. Also, at longer distances light can be bent or reflected by cosmic dust and such. Also, in GalCiv there are shields that absorb lasers.
You can rename a shipyard or Starbase by clicking on the name.
In the last Dev Stream they mentioned that the lasers read too well. So they might be already working on it.
From the live stream I believe they patch on Thursdays.
Stardock, can we have a project that just shifts points to the military projects. I know we can adjust sliders but I like to have my social production set at a certain level for when a new building is available. I don't want to go through 20+ colonies near the end of the game to change sliders when a new social project is ready.
