Can me get the AI to upgrade/obsolete ships? Also stop sending scouts in groups, spread them out! If they can't scout anything new, get rid of them.
Blaze of Glory
I started watching it a year or so ago and it was good. Benedict Cumberpatch was solid. As the seasons went on, I realized how good Martin Freeman was as John Watson. He really deserved best supporting actor. He actually outshines Benedict. Kudos to him!
I noticed clusters create some funky staring locations. Using rare habitable planets has odd situations where they is a small cluster could have maybe 3 planets including the starting one, then a huge space where you have to build star bases and focus on range to get out. By then most of the other planets are taken. I have seen this happen to the AI and human players. One game the Krynn wren't discovered for well over 100 turns because I had to bud two star bases with extended ran
I would like to be able to test various ship designs and ultimately fleets against other designs. What happens if I change the ship type or armaments against this type of ship. How do I survive against a ship of the same size but 20% more hp? What if I add thrusters instead of chaff? Really it would be awesome do be able to use the ship designer outside of a game and then load say a Terran ship and compare a glass cannon to a ship with defenses. Change the type from escort
I think Paul noticed it in the dev stream last weekend and said they were looking into it. You might want to send a support ticket with a save and description.
We have a fix here that we are testing. Initially I was going to hold it for 1.02, but after considering (and reading the feedback from everyone) I'm going to update the 1.01 update to include the fix.
Good call, it wrecks longer and larger games.
I dd a soak with my custom faction and about 50 other custom factions and all 8 in game ones with abundant minors. My traits were all different from yours. I noticed my survey ship didn't move for several turns and my scout ship didn't move at all ( I did about 25 turns on an insane map). I noticed several factions also had ships not move. Back to the topic. It built a constructor for my faction and sent it waaaay off to where it could snag multiple resources even
Glad you guys are here! The Steam forums aren't bad. They're just a bit younger demographic I suspect.
Enough to say "I will never do a beta on Steam ever again" not that bad? [e digicons];P[/e] I believe it was no alpha early access
I never mention this forum on steam. It is my sanctuary. [e digicons]:bebi:[/e]
You have to Right-Click in Steam of the game, go to "Properties" > Betas > Opt-in. No password.
Damn it, I just checked 30 minutes ago! I was about to get dinner and go to bed. Now I HAVE to download it and kick the tires. [e digicons]:P[/e]
Spending time on the steam forums is like trying to reason with small children. I try to talk reasonably to them (tag JE_Crazy) but it is something along the lines of "What, no STRAWBERRY ICE CREAM! I am going to throw a fit!" You say, "We are going to get some next week". The response is "But I want it NOW!". I feel like I need to call out for some anti-depressants when I am on that forum....
Sweet, thanks!
I one of the streams, Brad denied there was something in the code to make a faction of 5000 surrender. To paraphrase "Their is nothing in the code to do that! It can't happen!" but the users said it did and he said they would check it IIRC.
Good fix. [e digicons]:D[/e] But I haven't found in the list the next bug: one of the Neutrality addition gives 3 FREE ships on every planet... But in fact it takes away 1 credit for one ship... Today it was for me economic crush...
Well, you could just disband them.
You can always scrap the ships if you want.
I agree with you, however the map will show small lines going from resources it is mining to the starbase. So most of the time you can see if someone else is mining it at least.
Well, you can do diplomacy, buildings, ship designs, etc. Only really moves of ships are per player.
That is nasty, but I have not seen it. Perhaps post your computer specs?
I thought it was funny it was brought up in the stream with Brad 5/13 and they said you would be stupid not to, and then Brad never made one. [e digicons]:|[/e]
In MP, I made an exploration treaty with my bud for nothing because he was stuck in a corner of a spiral. I made a mutual exploration treaty with the Terrans and After the next turn, nothing. Not even a hex.
Every time I load as host, there are areas I have already scouted that are now dark. If I send a ship in the area, then a portion of it beyond its sensor range is shown again. Rather annoying.
From messing around with some of this and watching the twitch stream Brad was on 5/13 it goes something like this Number of stars effect the number of planets The number of planets effects the number of habitable and extreme worlds The XML shows factors to apply be each of these things. So you can create a new game and go into the debug console (~) and type "fow" with no quotes. Make a note of the galaxy, then exit, change the parameters and start a new g
Try using the same Steam server under Steam > Settings > Downloads
Currently you have to make a game and they join by going into the multiplayer lobby, finding the host game and click join.
