I'd love to see short tutorials on the different aspects of the game like: - Trade - Diplomacy - Ship Combat - Ground Combat - Research - Planetary Tile placement strategies
All of that's basically covered in my Let's Plays, not in concise form I guess but it's in there. If/when I get back to making guide videos there&#39
3. Host the best YouTube 'how to play' and 'tips' videos on the Stardock website.
My experience/belief is Stardock have little to no interest in YouTubers other than with reviewers like Total Biscuit and Angry Joe to sell their games initially. That being said they do have a "Pinned Post" for "User Created Videos" (they are not Nintendo luckily) in the GCIII General Forum. Took me a while to find the thread myself actually.

Perhaps you should wait until you have, before making claims about a game that your beta experience on a different title gives you no credibility to make. These forums have enough fanboyism imo. Enough smoke has been blown up Stardock *** as it is. Praise where praise is due is fine but Stardock needs to act more on the constructi
If you want an accurate meaningful score you want as many unbiased reviews as possible, from a broad range of consumers who have purchased that game. Companies encouraging the most biased people to review games, people who have perhaps been fans of a game or series for years, people who have preordered and invested in a game and its future are

That's how i look at it, too. People spend $20 for an IMAX movie which is over in 2 hours, then absolutely freak out over $5 DLC. If you bought the game at $50 like most people and got 5+ hours of enjoyment out of it, you're doing great (at IMAX movie rates, at least
Oh, and the complaint about asking for reviews is patently ridiculous. Pretty much everything that has a rating system attached to it asks you to rate it. SD never asked its community to review it dishonestly, they just pretty much said "Hey, there's this rating system, so if you like the game, please go rate it." There is nothing even remotely wrong with that. If a company is involved in a rating system and isn't encouraging thei
I get cynicism, but I do not think on this matter that such a presumption has standing.
I'll put it more bluntly if you want, they are asking people to review their game specifically on Steam in the hope of positive reviews and potential financial gain from a higher user rating. These forums are perfectly fine for generating feedback, their not asking people to review their game on Steam for feedback. &nb

Extremely disappointing patch Stardock. Perhaps you need to hold off on DLC until you've addressed the many numerous flaws in the base game that the forum threads and reviews on Steam are littered with. A few extra buttons on the planet queue, governors that most competent players won't care to use and a destination window that's probably harder to use than clicking on the tactical map in most circumstances is not the progress I was hoping for. The AI is unable to take advantage of either. But the human certainly can. 4. The exponentially growing power curves that a human can create means balancing it is extremely difficult. Either the AI gets too many bonuses
When we do replace the per planet production wheel, we're not going to just take it out and not put something 3else there. Instead, you'll have a system that will allow you to emphasize a particular focus for the planet. Getting rid of the wheel system is a massive step forward in reducing the crazy micro management in the game and shows that Stardock are able to make tough decisions, encouraging signs at last! It's the right decision for a game of this scale. 10 planet empires the old system works ok, above that and the the game increasingly bogs down. I've posted about getting rid of the wheel previously (even requesting it it to be set on fire since I hate it that much, which di
