I don't know specifically about the treasure hunt ship, but the AI was changed in 3.0 to attack colony ships.
I probably should have mentioned a few more details. I don't know if it is a bug but there are are reasons to believe it was. All war declarations should really start with a popup in my opinion (perhaps they are supposed to?) this did not. My treasure hunt automated ship was near to a terr

Possible bug... I had a war start by a treasure hunt ship being attacked no formal war declaration popup. Might have been collision error?
Thought I'd add my 2c on this... I really like the fact that the hardest difficulty should be nearly impossible to beat. However if it leads to the game not being fun that's an issue. How many people are now playing Godlike and how many like this change? I just played 20 turns on godlike (first real attempt since move changes) Intrigue all DLC/expansions with Iconians Huge Map, 8 empires, max minors, tight clusters ,rare stars, max habitable, max planets, max extre

Someone posted about precursor worlds having pre-Crusade raw production you might want to take a look at that as well for the patch... https://forums.galciv3.com/482954/page/1/#3676672 EDIT just checked their all extreme precursor worlds probably intended (big late game boost planets) might be too generous though???
But yea, that's a good point. I think the Conqueror trait is going to have to be looked at.
And my reply #14 what do you think of that? Speaking of offers my Crusade YT videos have more views than some of the people Stardock (sponsored), would be nice to get an offer myself in future ;)
Invasion tech now rewards player with 10 free legions upon completion
Drengin start with planetary invasion Brad, you're effectively giving them free planets. No one else can make legions to defend against them for some time... a bit generous no? ;)
Great to get quick updates fixing issues and some balance changes here's my list what I'd like to see next patch. Quality of Life/Balance relatively easy fixes. 1. Asteroid Notification if any come within your influence (they're so important you don't want to miss out on not mining them immediately) 2. Individual Hotkeys for Ships/Planets/Starbases/Shipyards tab key for all is not enough. It causes a lot of unnecessary micro without hotkeys.
20 Seem too long after mid-game since a lot of things can happen, more if you are at war. 10 just like citizen generation seem to be ok.
Depends how cruel Brad wants to be on the player for making a mistake :) 10 is fine, but with 20 you're less able to abuse scrapping tons of starbases/surveys for some short term tactical gains.
Any suggestions?
20 turn cooldown after disbanding to get your administrator point back. Status quo definitely not great. Other (probable) simple to fix things the game really needs!!! 1. Hotkeys for cycling separately through Ships/Colonies/Starbases/Shipyards after 3/4+ years of development... I think it's time they were added no? Tab for all is not enough! Please, pretty please... :(
If the projected number of habitable planets were displayed based on the settings you pick it would solve so many problems with map selection/galaxy options. Then people would at least have rough idea how long their games will last and how many empires they should roughly select. It's been a problem well before GC3... the entire series. I'd put money on it the only people who have a clue how many habitable planets they can expect on certain map sizes are
They level up over time. Thus, the order in which you specialize them matters.
This could be very significant, many of the leaders have a global bonus 3% and a local planetary bonus of 25% in their specialized field. I'm more interested in the local bonus. Hopefully each time they level up the percentage amount could go up. If they level up frequently perhaps each time you get a new leader those percentage amounts could be significant.<br

Wow that's really priceless. I'd wager
I like the promise of the features laid out in this post, but I don't think they'll un-break the game for me. Every time I get a good game going I'll meet some race that is uncatchably ahead in tech by turns 50 to 100. It's discouraging. (not an invitation for min/maxing advice, I've read it all and am not interested). Considering the volume of feedback regarding the disparity between AI an
Difference doesn't seem big, but will be significant with better built-up planets ...
Take it to the extreme then. Planet 90 Raw Production, 500% research bonus from buildings that's a lot! Stick Scientist Citizen on it let's presume the 25% bonus uses the raw production and is e.g. not like another research building. Let's assume 33% of that raw only goes to science a screenshot se
The economic changes in this dev diary are what I've been waiting for ages. I've not really touched the game since patch 1.5. The economy is basically make or break for my future interest in the game... I like the idea of a citizen system. (I hated the wheels and the micromanagement they caused) I've tried looking for an old post I made on the forums where I recommended a governor style system that would be one on average p
This was the patch I was hoping for back in 1.3 which addressed key flaws with the game that the player base (at least a certain part of it) had highlighted. It's a real shame its taken nearly a year since release before this patch. Many if not all the key issues this patch addresses were well known back in beta (perhaps not the full extent of the diplomacy flaws which Icemania and maybe others uncovered) I haven't tried out 1.7 yet to see how successful the change
I recorded a video concerning this when doing a GC3 LP months ago never got round to posting it on here
The game should tell you roughly if not exactly how many habitable planets you can expect on the map you're creating when setting up your game. I've thought this should be the case since GC2. It's really the most important thing to know when setting up a game (except perhaps map size) since the more planets the longer the game will last, and yet the game doesn't tell you. Stardock just isn't very good at relaying important information to the play
Wow, I guess the point of my post went right over your head... I'd explain further but Seilore has already tried and some how I feel it would be in vain anyway.
No one is accusing of censorship, He's just stating there is a time and place for this type of post. The time in this forum is after release. The place currently is in the founders portion of the website prior to release. Mainly because there are certain things we're given access to and can discuss there which they have asked us not to post/talk about until post release. And and as founder who enjoys early
