Yeah. In sins of solar empire you had flak batteries and aa systems. I think a seperate aa weapon system would be really great. Generally speaking i really like carriers in space games. But a seperate weapon system to counter the fighters would be great.
It was because of you and Airmaster that I decided not to add my original idea for carrier ships was having at least 4 in each graphic. Realized it would make your

I remember in GC-1 when there were no carriers and IIRC they were not wanted by the lead developer. Cannot remember for sure but I believe it was only in two when popular demand got them introduced. The above post and carriers being overpowered since they were introduced I would tend to point out that maybe that Developer was right. I know one of the reasons that Fighters are in most Sci-Fi is, so the hero is not limited to controlling warships or being an SASSealFroce
As my title suggests why is this the only option? We were promised a co-op multiplayer mode when this was still in beta and we've yet to see even any mention of it. Honestly I pre-ordered this as soon as I could thinking I could play with friends and its been nearly a year and you have done the official "release" if you can call it that. Yet we are still missing 60% or more of the content we were promised.
The game is not missing 60% or more.
This is a SteamDeck so graphic drivers aren't really relevant as such (well you could upgrade but the graphics stack is managed by Valve). It's a relatively low powered APU, but it has no problem running much more demanding games at its native resolution, which is 1280x800. I already have antialiasing at 2x.
Good luck then.
Also make sure you Graphic drivers are up to date although I'm sure you have. (standard response)
Not sure I follow you. HD resolution is lower than 4k.
I changed my graphics settings months ago at the Developers suggestion I must have confused anti-aliasing with UI if so its the AA setting to 2X that will help with graphics problems. My rig was running fans at high speeds constantly lowering the AA helped slow them. Try the higher UI also see if it helps your scaling.
What do you mean 4x?
My bad 4K UI size. It helps the GPU some I also run anti-aliasing at 2x.
https://youtu.be/mDhHXsEmdOw Performance is just ok because I'm forced to run the game at 1920x1080 resolution, as in native res the UI doesn't scale and it becomes unclickable. Performance at native res is 60fps locked at max settings, at HD it's about 25-30 which is totally playable, although the power/battery usage isn't ideal. Would be awesome if Stardock could support lower resolution scaling to future proo
I was going to suggest a verify files. Seems the game did it for you. Sounds like a missing file problem to me since solved.

Try hitting esc but then resume. Used to work before launch. If that does not work post a save game.
Tried a bunch of Proton and Wine versions but the game just crashes. Anyone have gotten any luck getting it to run? Really want to run it on my SteamDeck for portable fun.
Interesting. Do you know why? And there appears to be a way around this from what I've read.
Why is how the game was designed, as for the work around IIRC there are two ways design all warships with survey modules or the way point option, but I forget how exactly that is done.
In Gal Civ III you could upgrade everything on a military ship as long as you weren't changing hull sizes. I haven't found a way to do that in Gal Civ IV. For example if I have an old ship designed with first generation missiles I don't seem to be able to bring it into space dock and upgrade the missiles to Avengers. Am I missing something? P.S. I just found out this is possible, but very convol
