The methan-breather are unfortunately more then 1 race with all sorts of behavior (trade, research, expansion...) so game certainly would benefit from second tree of life. In fact I could think about cutting in half the pressure on each race through methan-breathers, as they do not compete arround planets in first place. I do think about a full scale of methan planets for colonization from one side, while ressource development from the other. Certain treaties and alliances seem

I've overlooked it and it seems I may mod in those methane planets into PlanetTraitDefs.xml so I could choose them later in PlanetDefs.xml and probably I'll find a solution for 2nd task either. As for the planned methane-breathers, they mostly keep away from normal planets instead for trade or piracy. It will open a 2nd viewing angle to the universe with quite different options. Currently I'm wondering if I would better wait for some DLC,

Hi, currently underway creating a faction set arround C.J.Cherry's Alliance-Union galaxy. Most humanoid races are done, now I'm in front of getting methan-breather factions in. Only solution currently is to make them synthetic based, but this won't match it. 1. Is there any way to change starting planet toward 'extreme planets' at least, because I can't see a way to mod in complete row of methan based life?</p

There is a problem concerning mods and multiplayer: In 1.02 I couldn't play custom factions in MP if they contain own graphic set so far I have ANY mod in the mod folder. After deleting mods all worked fine. Probably they try to catch up the problem with the opt-in...I'm sure they'll bring out a working 1.03 later.

Well...actually they did...by letting themself get paid by founders for this testing period. ^^
Steam has made quite interesting progress and also serves as platform for games being released on different OS. In addition, producers don't have to worry about DRM or delivering updates, which is a point you really should take into consideration to understand their reasons. Gog, on the other side, has upgraded their services and is offering more and more modern games instead old ones before. With GOG Galaxy they did one step forward to offer chat and update deliver

Update: - altered Mri logo - added the Iduve faction - added FG, BG, Portraits, Logos, custom setup jpg Have to confess, that the Iduve are the first design not fully implemented as should be, but tried to come near. Reason is, they do live on their immense ships and see planets only as hunting grounds. Probably other mods or DLC will allow me to get them adopted later.

Yeah, thx. Well, not too easy to get a picture for a person out of a novel. Everybody has different view on it. So I combine what I could find here in forum or on the net. Only annoying duty is, how do I get those real alien races (methan breather aso.) in the game? Good point. I'd like to add another 'predisposition', as my ever requested issue is, that all those GC3 races origin from paradise earth-like planets. I'm currently building a mod based upon C.J.Cherryh's Alliance-Union universe and to catch all of them would need to base them on methane or other heavy extreme planets instead. Can't imag
