Very nice, thx!

@Hereward_Hills Now I found time to get more into creating a gas planet homeworld mod in coop with your fine mod. Step by step I started to grow. First race seems quite fine...except the gas planet has no production tile. Tried to create a ContinentDefs.xml too, but no change at all. Anyhow, also new races would be able to choose gas planet home. Besides I didn't catch how to naming those gas planets generic. In current state they'd all be named 'Methane Home
At current stage all factions start on same level, anyhow they have different traits. But it's nearly all equalized. It would be major enhancement to choose different tech-eras or expansion levels. Tech-eras could be done in setup quite easy. Give us a drop down to choose on which era to start. The expansion level might look similar, but needs some more into-depth programing to expand that faction on more planets. I could ev
As for gameplay I'd like to see ability to split competing factions before switching planets into my own property. This could be done by diplomacy, hidden moves as supporting revolutions, spys, events or peace treatys. The new split-factions might have same ship style and faction traits (or different as well), but may alter their spirit decissions (benelovent, pragmatic, evil) to fit the player ones instead former confrontation. I c
It would be helpfull to have a modable language file, so players could care about and upload it to the workshop.
Yeah, as for my own custom factions, I tested and adopted every single one to fit. Besides I rendered them light-weighted to shrink and speed-up the download...on the cost of some high-class graphics. Only a few factions I downloaded from workshop have finished their designs...in most cases I use them to fill the faction slots. The few that are well designed I try and play myself. @econundrum1, I agree the rating system could give us a hint on well designed faction
Great collection, thx. [e digicons][/e]
Thx Franco fx. @admiralWillyWilber As Franco fx explained, faction files should be placed: C:\Users\[YOUR NAME]\Documents\my games\GalCiv3\Factions\ where [YOUR NAME] is your pc's user folder. My own download files are in shape, so you don't need to fill them into the specific folders in Factions folder. Just extract the RAR-file into the mentioned Factions folder. But you could also do copy-paste manually, your
@Hereward_Hills Thx, switched back to your thread. :P @Deathwynd Sad to hear, anyhow keeping that idea in mind. As for the Precursor planet, it seems the AI isn't heading for. Got a game where the Precursor planet was only 2 systems away from Drengin homeworld and they didn't grab it for more then 100 turns but attacked me some systems farther away. PlanetClass 40 should start a race for it. Probably you could 'hide' the pla
Ah...thx Hereward_Hills, very helpful. Will give it a try the other days... [e digicons]:star:[/e]
@Deathwynd Thx the notice, yeah seems I mixed it. [e digicons][/e]

@Deathwynd Only on first view I guess. Both seem to offer a way to get a 'methane homeworld' into the game. Planet Traits show up direct way, while Planetary Diversity might give a route to alter specific single planets. I do not claim it would be allready possible, but it's thinkable to me. I could think about a methane planet callsign bound toward only colonizable with a specific 'faction trait methane'. Just an idea right now...
Thx for the info
Quoting Skukkuk, reply 29 BTW, is it possible to choose 'gas planets' as home planet too with your mod? I've not tested for that but I don't see why it wouldn't work.
W
Yeah, I like to get more into-depth diversification with your mod. Following and probably will include it with my Alliance-Union faction mod in the future. Wouldn't it be sufficient to just use custom factions to get the benefits of your mod? BTW, you wrote about some informations InGame, but I can't see them...so your mod is probably not compatible toward 1.10 ?</p
Nice idea. Since your mod is compatible toward Hereward_Hills Planet Traits mod, I'll try them together. BTW, is it possible to get Methane worlds as home system with your mod? In my Alliance-Union universe faction mod I do have some methane based races I'd like to place on such a planet. This could be done with Planet Traits
Great Idea, will test soon. BTW, is it possible to choose 'gas planets' as home planet too with your mod?
for some reason the pictures I got, but no factions.
What is "workshop subscription" about. I have to pay now to get a download of your mod? When I clicked on the link it gives me an error saying I don't have permission. [e digicons]o_O[/e]
As described above: you have to opt-in version 1.10 to reach GalCiv3 workshop ^^ no, no payment, just InGame subscription of mods, factions, ships aso. did you never try steam workshop?
Update: - added Progenitor Remnants - changed from direct download toward workshop subscription (from v. 1.10)

Sorry to ask about...the link allways brings me to the same old files...probably I miss some information?
