tried starting a game a few times, verified files like 3 times cuz twice needed redownloaded, created a custom race with your mod, AI collective choice in Speciation, with abilities Nanonic and Malleable, hung on galaxy creation everytime, would soft crash with a click, i suspect it is still something on my end but just giving feedback, didn't see anything obviously wrong with the xml except what i mentioned last post. gonna full reinstall now and see if it still hangs at same point, i as

just downloaded, very interesting stuff you have here, haven't started a game yet but noticed that your Tolerant race trait has cost values of 2 4 6 8 instead of 1 2 3 4 as every other one, this may be intentional for future changes or other issues but TolerantGD2 and TolerantGD1(your internal names) can not be picked without negatives available. haven't looked into this myself but consider your adjustmentfactor to consider the edge of the map as well, i assume a star system can only spawn close enough to the edge to spawn the entire system

1) yes, although there is currently no selection process for active mods like in GC2 so they could interfere with one another if they try to do similar things 2) not sure if you mean on your computer or remote, locally it is in Documents/MyGames/Galciv3/Mods , remotely once 1.1 is live steam workshop will be up for uploading and downloading them, i know it is live with the opt in however they mentioned things could possibly be wiped when the patch goes live, i personally have not seen

I agree with Christian_Akacro, this is most likely good for that, i know they can specify coordinates for creation of stuff since it is a predefined map, not sure the wormhole action will take coordinates as a parameter though that would be very nice.

i think the issue would be warping into another's zoc, haven't bothered taking it far enough to see influence but seems to disappear from where the planet used to be. i assume it is calculated every turn based on where the influence sources are

I do appreciate your feedback Lucky Jack. I lurk the forums a whole lot. However, what you are mentioning are issues with the effect but not so much when intending it to happen. I do apologize if this is crass, I am getting too far too early into my state tonight. I was simply more surprised than anything that the effect worked. I hope for more from it if I can think it up. Definitely on galaxy generation it would be an issue but then just make everyone start with nothing as some people like

Is the Bestof tag the only thing available atm to compare possibly different values for the same modifier to simulate a computation? I assume it is. I know math is not allowed as values. Most of us simply want Sector lines like GC2 had even if for no other reason than getting around a large map without needing landmarks which sometimes aren't readily present, i understand how it would look horrible or possibly more difficult to implement with hexes but as a toggle-able option those of us that want it wouldn't care too much. Yours is not a bad idea(i agree with for7676) in and of itself, although not something in which i am too interested. Sector lines please!

After some more thought(it was late when i made this happen), i decided to try a more global effect. However, attempting to wormhole all planets results in a crash. Not very surprising i suppose. I was hoping for this to take effect on galaxy generation(onstartturn 1) or possibly a galactic event. I have no recommendations for faction count. It is definitely preference but if you do find a faction count for a specific map size that you like then Bamdorf made a table for hex count in the different galaxy sizes so you could scale appropriately for the different sizes to produce the same faction count per hex density. I know you could use a trigger on an improvement ,existing, or created by you for the desired effect like the hyperion buildings. Getting them to build said improvement would most likely still be difficult, possibly easier than a ship module though. Tested quickly that it works just sticking the trigger to the colony capital but that gives it to every player. Your question seems slightly confusing or possibly a double question. I will take a hopefully useful stab. I assume you are referring to the life support range of a ship/fleet. This range is from any colony/starbase you own (so multiple "centers" of range) regardless of where the construction of the ship or banding of the fleet took place.
