I didn't see your post till after I replied on this one, figured better here due to being in the support category. Since they changed synthetic population growth they need to redo the whole system and the tech tree related to it since the yor tech tree seems to be unchanged since like 0.60 when they still had the old project. I am worried it will be the same come gold, which will be a major issue in reviews and to me since I prefer the more unique trees and races.

I am wondering how you rotate the view both on the z axis and rotationally. I have seen this on the dev streams and on some user youtube videos (which assured me that it is in our given builds). I can't for the life of me figure out how to do so. Thank you in advance for your answers.
The new assembly improvement also ignores synthetic pop cap. If you want to mod it in, here is the old assembly project. Thanks due to Tetrasodium. His post on the issue: https://forums.galciv3.com/461091/page/1/ Should still work assuming they haven't removed the GrowthYor variable yet. Hopefully it stays in as an artifact just for this purpose. I personally prefer adjusting the values by dividing by 100, produces a better c
It is in sync on the twitch replay. http://www.twitch.tv/stardock/v/4329746 I know some can only watch it on youtube due to devices but just mentioning in case.
I always do too. The 1st time I started the Thalans I was wondering why i had so much trouble getting the free points, so much clicking. It didn't occur to me to test it a slight bit more until I got nothing upon loading the 1st turn save.
General Game Improvements #3 yes i wished this still was, have found myself selecting the stars too much with no reason #12 yes, it makes the percentages appear to do nothing without the extra decimals, although not sure how the resulting secondary values treat the extra decimals(possibly why it's rounded to the tenth if dependent values only use that value), the xmls are given 3 decimal places Bugs #2 the new assembly improvement ignoring pop cap is known,
This leads me to a secondary possible issue. That maybe production overflow is also not being saved in game saves. I do not have the saves or desire to test that but it seems reasonable given that finding. That might be a completely different mechanic although seemingly similar. Just a thought...
Upon loading a saved game on Turn 1(the saving I tend to do once I get a map that I would like to play) with an Intuitive faction, the free research points are no longer available if unspent. Also, these free points do not apply themselves if you exit technology from the secondary tech screen(tech tree view). They are only applied if exiting from the primary tech screen.
I have seen and can confirm #1. It appears to occur with the default factions as well. Using the Quick Start button on the main screen will produce new maps consistently. However, using New Game without changing anything will always produce the 1st map generated that way.
Having any ship inside an AI's influence borders results in a single negative to diplomatic relations with them. Acquiring the open borders treaty removes that and gives you a single positive for having the treaty with them.
! I am sooo waiting for the Thalan to come into play. They were my fav in GC2, I hope they are in the next beta release. I was happy enough to get the Yor(my 2nd fav naturally). Mostly due to the unique tech trees but still awesome nonetheless. Keep up the good work!
I must have missed that line, seems you've tried the triggers, maybe i'll tinker some myself(time permitting), sorry if that was a completely unnecessary post.
GetValueFromStarbase appears in StrategicResourceDefs.xml for the relics, it's a short xml so keeping the paste short GetValueFromStarbase The value it gets comes from StarbaseModuleDefs.xml based on which modules the starbase has installed, the relevant info
they may have had a ship on one my planets i flipped so i couldn't control but they still technically owned, i wish i had the save file still but unfortunately do not like my first bug post which was fixed by graphic driver update and could not replicate it after that
i have experienced the same issue, they request peace every single turn starting from when they feel they are losing but it persists. I assume this will change like in GC2 they would ask for peace and would wait several turns to ask again but here in GC3 they ask every turn till they are gone. And the time this happened to me they persisted asking once they had no planets and reappeared in the Diplomacy screen, i traded for all of their shown belongings and yet they were still in the diplomac
that's exactly or at least part of what i meant, GC3 is already being setup for a mod directory like i'm used to from GC2 so that i can leave the default files alone, enablemod is already in the gameplay tab yet has no path selection.
The 3rd possibility occurred to me when I was laying down for the night that night. It could be similar to the Metaverse in that certain xml files were required to be unchanged. So it would be that they may end up producing multiplayer games based on the default thereby ignoring local xmls. This is just a thought, I personally am not that interested in multiplayer aside from people in my life who i can't get to play this. :(
I have not dabbled in the multiplayer yet but I only foresee 2 possibilities. The 1st being all players needing the exact same xml files. The 2nd being the game is created based on the host's xml files which to me seems more likely at the moment.
I had already unlocked Malevolence and Fear. At the point I am in the game, the 2nd tier costs 35 and the 3rd tier costs 50. I had 32 malevolent points. A random event occurred and I selected the Malevolent option for +20 points. Then when I went to Ideology, I selected Intimidation. It was unlocked but did not deduct the 50 points. I was then able to unlock Coercion as well for which it did deduct 41 points since the cost went up from unlocking Intimidation. At this point I was allowed to le
This is due to an error in the ImprovementDefs.xml file, specifically the upgrades from tag. It is set to upgrade from itself. If you search the file for "industrialcollective" then scroll down a little bit you should see this IndustrialMechanizationTech &nb
Selecting an uninhabited planet then clicking the rush buy shortcut caused the UI to hang and then the game crashed to desktop. It seems to show the improvement progress and rush buy cost of the last colony that was selected. I was able to replicate the crash twice. After this, I updated my graphics driver as was suggested in the support faq even though not appearing to be graphics related. I haven't been able to replicate the crash after the driver update with 3 attempts. <
