I appreciate the respectful reply. I believe the problem then lay with representation for us being so sparse in media that when it finally does happen, we tend to overanalyze it. Nevertheless, I do hope for more nuanced representations in the future, rather than the "hur dur evil m0szlem" fiction that feeds the right wing mob above you. I'll keep your views in mind to make it more palatable for me.

A lot of the negative reviews seem like a bunch of people with agendas. Not to say all are unjustified at all. However there seem to be a lot of basement dwellers who can't take the idea of a couple bugs or change in mechanics without soiling themselves or were not satisfied by the original game and have resolved to insta-dislike everything that comes out to spite Stardock. I'm not one for modding. I would appreciate most of all more end game variety such as the Dreadlords making a

Working on two versions of Galciv wouldn't, imo, be as satisfying to anyone as much as focusing on making one the definitive experience. Galciv 3 can already stand on its own and had a good run. Work on Crusade should be the exclusive priority

I am infact one myself (Boo!) and I assure you that I've done my research and am well acquainted with scholars in person and of my history. I don't care for any negative stereotypes in my games be they about any people. Believe what you want in private, not in Galciv. This thread is about the naming of a tech which is absolutely an acceptable topic. It's a bit backwards to barge into a thread where someone has taken exception with a tech name, turn around and say that you believe t

Listen, I get it's used by people as a word that's interchangeable with "crusade." I'm a long time fan who's been around here since Galciv 2. Forgive me but I'm a little surprised that such a hotbutton word can be used to describe the tech of a malevolent, aggressive civilization. Jihad actually means "struggle" not "holy war" as in people have personal "jihads" against bad habits for example, which means even the Torians could have it as a "struggle" for survival pop tech. There's bad press

All games get added with new features, major updates, and overhauls. Look at other popular strategy games like Stellaris, Endless Legend, etc which have gotten new features and complete overhauls. The game has been more than complete for ages, and now when they

We can drool but patience is a must.
I doubt they wanna do it at basically summertime. March to April is the general idea for spring. Seeing as how the dev diaries end late February, my guess is early to mid march.

I've recently had the option of purchasing a few other strategy 4x games out on the market now at a discount on Steam. However, upon researching them, it turns out that the AI is pretty braindead if not wholly reliant on cheating to be a challenge. No matter how nice the lore, presentation, UI, or perceived reputation of the game, you can never substitute a challenging AI for anything. I know we're all awaiting the next expansion. But the fact that we have received such a

Dear Developers, The expansion certainly seems amazing. However, I can't count how many times on this forum I've tried to ask if you'll be adding end game challenges. These features are great but many of us have felt since even before WOM that the game snowballs after you take out the first ai or two. Are there any end game crises or allying against the greatest threat mechanics? All the amazing features in the world fade if you're too powerful right after your first t

Another solution would be for the AI to recognize that certain players are outpacing them all in tech and thus offer research treaties and alliances to counter the emerging threat, with war if need be to prevent them all from being outclassed. The biggest problem with the game is snowballing in general and reactionary alliances would be great.
There is currently nothing in place that prevents snowballing.
Ok. I think we're going back and forth about something I may not have made clear. I know there is nothing CURRENTLY. I'm asking with regards for the future since endgame gets easier as I described in my original post. Thanks for the replies though. Patch runs stable btw. Happy with that.
