I solved this a few days ago and started a thread. I guess no one noticed, lol. It's as simple as this...make certain the order of home worlds you create matches the order you place the factions. The first faction you choose will be placed on the first planet you create, (and designate "random AI player.)

Thank you Naselus. Makes you wonder what would happen if you use it. I imagine nothing.
I was creating a custom map and I placed a Civilization Capital on my home world. When I started the game, there were 2 capital buildings on the planet. The usual colony capital and a fancy Civilization capital. Has there always been a difference between the two? All I have ever found on my home world is the normal colony capital. The bottom right of the screen displays the words "civilization capital." Has there always been a special Civ capital building? Do we research it down the line? Any
It's true Forester, I panicked after creating this post. I was afraid I might look like an idiot, so I ran another test. 7 completely different customs. Changed planets, changed planet names...even purposely changed star names. Nothing mattered EXCEPT the order. I placed the opponents in the same order I crated the systems. They all appeared EXACTLY where they should. This was the third full trial. It's for real. Your right...the sky is the limit. Now...who is going to create the Fede
Ok folks, after some serious experimenting, I have discovered the following...the map editor WILL allow you to place your custom factions on the proper world. It simply requires good management on your part. Let me explain. As you create your custom galaxy, keep records of the systems you create, and most importantly...the order you place them. Then make sure you check "random AI player" for each custom you are playing against. When you set up the game, make absolutely sure you place the cust
Adrian, you beat me to the question. How can we specify the home system we create for each custom race? It seems to offer "random" as the only option. Is it as simple as naming the Homeworld the same name we gave the custom race? 1) If I copied and created the Terrans, will the game recognize them and put them in the right system? Same for the other races. 2) What about all the customs? How can I fit them into the prpoer systems. (It will suck if the Drengin are
Thank you very much. I added it in the steam file.
Lol, nevermind...I used "cheat." Thanks. as always.
Do I simply add cheat, or "cheat"?
That is correct. I was hoping it would add to the route if you built Econ bases along the route.
Anyone, I can't activate the "~" help menu to try a Soak game. I heard something about adding a command line. Could someone give specific instructions, please? I think my shortcut runs through Steam. I can't find an "exe," like in GalCiv2. This has a URL: steam://rungameid/######. Can someone advise? Thanks
is that like in GalCiv2 where we made a shorcut and added "cheat"? How do we do that here? With or without Steam?
Thank you Joe, although I wish the answer were different.
Has the "Help" mode been deactivated? Do we have to enable it now, like "cheats" in GalCiv2? If so, how?
Thanks for responding. I understand that. I put the module on a planet's own starbase. The zone of influence clearly covered the planet in question...that's why I built it there. When I followed the trade route line from the originating world, to the trade partner, it clearly ran through this other world's starbase. I added the trade module and saw no additional revenue. Not in my govern screen, or on the starbases itself. Any ideas?
Have you noticed if the AI will build it? I'd love to try it if the opponents will benefit as well. Thanks
Psiyon, I would love to...but I have absolutely no idea how, lol.
Hereward, do we replace version 1 with this...delete it? Or do we use them together? Thanks
Well, Stardock has contacted me and asked me to opt-in. I guess they want to see if they fixed the issue. What do all of you recommend? I'm using a few of the MODS now, and I'd like to continue. Personality traits, Planet traits, All starbases mine, Reduced nebula, worthwhile resources,(I really like that one,) military starbases and longer AOE. Will most of them still work?
Psiyon, this is a great expansion. Thank you for your effort. may I ask a question? Please don't take this as criticism, merely an observation. You only give "Soldier" bonuses to cruel/evil tenancies. Would you consider a "Warrior" type choice? I'm not really sure where you might place it...maybe +.1 Soldier on Opportunistic? I realize it's not the best example, but my thoughts keep coming back to an honorable, warrior race. Can't bring myself to chose "Cruel" for, say..
Lol, sorry Hereward. I got my MODs mixed up. Please disregard. Your Mod is excellent.
I ran into that problem as well? Does anyone know if it has to do with the Age you are in? I assumed you had to reach the third age to colonize those techs.

Sorry to be a pain. It worked. Thank you for your trouble, and time and effort!
Sansloi, thank you...but the first link doesn't seem to work. I'd really like to try that one and keep my military and mining separate, lol.
