Word "Fucntions" probably caused short circuit...

Syreens' influence? Or, simply, they've found answer of eternal life - blue food? (Kudos to George Carlin).
Since Space Rangers were mentioned, I think one remark is needed. That game is probably one of few if not the only one, where you is just one of ants among many and world does not revolves around you. I'm not sure how to describe it better, maybe "real simulation of life in space"? In theory can could be completed without your active participation, and not in the way some modern games behave. For example, you can choose to be trader, and let other fight. If their numbers are high (and dif
I never said anything about immersion, I only said what I feel about role we assume there. It is just my opinion, not "the ultimate truth". From my point of view, guy who rules his nation shouldn't tell every constructor how to put bricks, give every turret operator orders of bearing, elevation and speed of a target. Even fleet commander shouldn't. Moreover, as far as I know, even ship's commander don't do that, that's why you have chain of command. Regimental commander sh
Implement hotseat?
Infinite loop. :) As much as I like to see "Nexus of Sins of Empires of Galactic Civilizations during Incident on Jupiter", I don't know whether Stardock could allocate resources to create deeper, and more interesting combat or not. Moreover, I'm not really sure we need tactical part. If we play "Supreme ruler" role, it's simply not his job to have such control over combat
I think the thing I can't work out is the idea of picking how many techs to do. There isn't a much of meaningful choice between recherche shields and engines at the same time Vs reaching shields then engines. The difference is small, but at the same time one is clearly better. You need to add some depth to that choice or possibility not include it at all (Like make it mandatory to do more then one tech ay a time).
Fo
Don't mind if I post something? In case you don't read news on Steam, they offer Left4Dead2 for free, one day only. Probably that's why it's down now. :)
Or we can go to modification of missile weapon, adding them cluster mines warheads and targeted ship suffer movement penatly during tactical combat, or right before it (or after it). So we use mines tactically, not strategically. Strategically we will be digging trenches. Yes, right in vacuum, private Smartypants, go get your shovel and dig, or you'll be digging them in granite with tea spoon.
Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays for you too. And Merry and Happy anything else you may have. :) Let the times we're going to live be less interesting than those we have now. As for community - you shaped and still shaping it, so it's your achievement. Keep up the good work, stay safe and keep your chin up (mind the bumps, though :)).
Queues would be a better way for people to zone out tech. I don't dislike the idea of studying multiple techs, but I would want the choice to be deep and meaningful. I tossed in a few ideas in my first post. Being able to study more then on tech at once might actually be a better way to handle high tech civs. A lot of 4x games have a thing where civs with high science just blow past techs way too fast. You study shields 1 and before you
The question is why though. Studying two techs at half speed is actually less effective then studying one then the other one at full speed. A little worse is that most of your new players will want to study as much as they can so they will effectively gimp themselves for no gain.
The question is "why not?" :). Usability, maybe, you don't to jump through different branches, and you need two particular project
Or when you simply want to got for parallel study in completely different areas, even at cost of reduced rate. Of course, all will depend on research model we'll have.
Let's detour for a bit, and look into not so distant past. What is the difference between us, pre-ordering cancel games now, in alpha stage, and us, pre-ording games years ago, when we had no demo, no firsth hand experience, maybe only preview from magazine? What is the difference? We still "wander into unknown" and trust unknown people with our money. The only difference is stage at which we give them our money, and, if studio small eno
Merry Christmas, Happy New Year and happy any other type of holidays you may have. Let us not live in interesting times. :)
Spybot and Malwarebytes works fine, all you need to do, is to run "immunization" again on Spybot, after Malwarebytes "fixed" hosts file, altered by Spybot. That's the only "conflict" I ever seen between them. So don't hesitate to install both.
Relax, I was joking. I even put smilie there.

Well, we are people in the Internet and people in the Internet do what they do best - overreacting. :)
I could be wrong, I read that diagonally, if you know what I mean, but if I recall correctly, Nival is going to implement asynchronous MP in their upcoming Blitzkrieg 3. Meaning - player creates his "base" (similar to generic missions from earlier Blitzkriegs, this time user-generated (not sure about landscape, though)), then other players are trying to attack it and steal resources. After that, defending player will be able to watch recording of the session and analyze it, to improve defense

Well, maybe it's time to bring two PCs to play "not-so-hot-seat".
