Please try the following: 1. Disable cloud saves: http://screencast.com/t/lSyZWnwMTgiI 2. Rename your "..\Documents\My Games\GalCiv3" directory to GakCiv3.old 3. Restart the game and see if you have the issue.

Hey Bamdorf, if you seen the issue in the latest opt-in build?
To the brave testers that recently grabbed the latest Opt-In version. A few features have been disabled in multiplayer with the latest opt-in: mods, custom factions, pirates, and maps larger than huge.
I am really glad to hear that the game works now, have fun!
This is a hard to track down issue, if you have any save files or reproducible steps of this happening please send that information to support.
