Help using GIMP for creating new pictures... in GalCiv III Modding GalCiv3 Forums

Can someone help me out on how to create the transparency on png files using GIMP? I have a lot of pics downloaded that would make great faction pics but am stumped on how to make them transparent. Any help would be appreciated.

CTD when starting game in GalCiv III Support GalCiv3 Forums

Since the download of 1.3.2 When I try to start new game I get a CTD. I have tried with nods on and off. The game goes into its motion where it shows loading map... then just exits game....

Where is the file or what file is it to adjust the starting credits for a custom race? I found where to adjust the standard races but cannot seem to locate the custom race.

By defaults, if you mean the home planets to the various races in the game... then no, it does not change any. Otherwise, the vast majority of names were taken out. Added are names from Star Trek, Star Wars... and other pop culture ideas.

I also when first loading up 1.2 I would get messages telling me that certain races I had downloaded were missing techs.... Once I deleted the races the messages went away... Xitak Commune and Federation were the two races...

I have upgraded to 1.2 and am not able to use any mods. When I have mods enabled and try to either start a new game or load a previous save the "loading map" screen will stay on screen forever. I end up Ctl=Alt=Del and close out the game to restart. This happens when I try to go to campaign mode as well. When I take mods off, the game loads...

I noticed there are now races and ships on Steam workshop and have subscribed to a few of them but they did not download to my game. Is it not online to the game yet? Any timeframe for when it will be?

I agree. What I really dislike is taking over a planet and then they surrender to another civ while the tactical starbase you wanted goes to another civ.

I have searched forums but cannot find answers to a few questions I have. Is there or where is the function to rotate ship designs in the window as per GC2??? I hope you are able to rotate them to see them better for designing. Also, I have been saving a few designs as templates but can not find them later when I go into design? </
